nope no. those suits are snorting. you cant make a movie out of any damn thing.

They made a movie about the obama's first date. We can literally make a film about anything.

Nobody wants to see a movie about metal men Lou. All they are is robot helpers to some scientist. There is nothing cool or exiting about them and they look like extras from the wizard of Oz. They look like they would be barbecuing at the tin man's family reuninon

Pure ignorance.

I really hope Leto gets another shot to be more of a focal point. I understand his frustration tho... Even tho it's about suicide squad they did present to him this idea he'd have a bit bigger of a role. Blame this on the "experts" who trashed BVS for being "too serious b b but it's too dark no humor!!"

Hopefully he's in the next batman along with another villain but plz god NO MR FREEZE. Dude is literally one of the WOAT villains. I was already tortured as a kid with that wack ass Schwartzanger Mr.Freeze and the one on Gotham wasn't much better. In my opinion he's just a wack goofy character.

I don't get your point but I'll still counterpoint.

"Who would want to see an Iron Man movie?"

"Who would want to see a Deadpool movie?"

"Who cares about Guardians of the Galaxy?"

These were questions asked during the last 10 years and yet here we are.

Furthermore it doesn't help your case when you're completely oblivious about the characters and use a shallow argument to try and present your case.

Anybody who enjoys a story about personal growth, unconditional love and genuine sacrifice would enjoy The Metal Men.

Anybody who loved Pinocchio would love The Metal Men.

Anybody who has kids or close friends and family would love The Metal Men.

Anybody who enjoys stories with adventure, individual personalities, boundless imagination and a sense of unabashed hope and fun (which is ironically enough what most nerds want from the DCEU) would love The Metal Men.

There's a reason they've been optioning this as a movie for so long now. Not only was it a comic that broke ground in the industry with it's mature with levity approach to narrative back when that wasn't the norm. It is fundamentally extremely cinematic.

For example the original story ended with The Metal Men sacrificing their lives one by one in order to save the world. People love these kinda tropes in their fiction on a mass level.

He's not whack if done right. Hes supposed to be a tragic character. If they portray him as cold ,stoic etc it could work. Batman tas version is the perfect example.

Reports are saying that the article about Leto saying "Fuck em" was taken out of context.

When he said fuckem, it was after him and the interviewer were discussing what he was and wasnt allowed to do while filming suicide squad. He is a big rock climber and the studio would not allow him to go do that while under contract with them because of the dangers and shit. This and other things are why Leto said "Fuck em," and he assures everyone it was taken out of context. Will find the article here in abit. All is well with Leto and WB/DC

I get that much but I can't get jiggy with the whole "I freeze folks with a bazooka" I never was a fan of that. But I think considering how they've developed the DCU so far they could make him tolerable I guess

Mr Freeze from Animated Series (and by extension from the Arkham Games) that did his origin (eventually became cannon) is one of the Best Batman stories from the show, that episode won a lot of awards.

Real talk any comic character and story, if done right has potential to be GOAT.

For people who really enjoy comic book movies it's ironic how you guys don't even know about the golden comic book industry rule: there aren't bad characters just bad creators.

This is from the emmy winning episode of the most universally acclaimed piece of Batman media BTW.

Holy nostalgia, Batman! The caped crusader is returning to his 1960s television roots in a new animated feature film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, featuring the voices of Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar.

In the exclusive trailer, which you can see above, Batman and Robin are seemingly on their way to a fiery death when the news that a new animated feature is on the way sparks a brilliant escape plan. West’s Batman also teases the film’s villains, including the Joker, Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman.

The classic Batman television series, which ran from 1966 to 1969, saw West’s Batman and Ward’s Robin face off against such villains as Newmar’s iconic Catwoman.

Fans can follow the bat signal to their favorite online and retail stores for Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment, when it’s released for Digital HD on Oct. 11 and Blu-Ray on Nov. 1.

----

DC has shown they can still capture this type of nostalgia well in Batman '66. And when they try really off the wall shit with their animated movies (Like Gods and Monsters) it turns out well. So this should be good.

and this is still the GOAT catwoman btw

Can't shit were you eat. Dude has tens of millions on the line with this role. He's not stupid. Nicholson made off with 60 million off one movie alone. Is it a wonder that The Joker was his favorite role?

Imagine Leto with the option of doing this across multiple movies? No actor is dumb enough to pass that up. Ask Tom Hiddleston.

All i know is i would kick mr freeze's ass.

Its funny how every hero has a villain similar to another characters villain. Sometimes there are multiple villains for a character that basically do the same thing (Spiderman: Electro and the Shocker or w/e his name is)

Batman/Freeze

Flash/Cap Cold

Different backstories of course, but same abilities for the most part.

Not the same abilities. For Freeze and Cold or Electro and Shocker. Major differences between what a Cold gun can do and what a Freeze gun can do. This has been covered in comics since the 60s.

They've been working on this for years. Like since they finally settled with Fox. Good to see a release date.

No, Jared Leto Did Not Say "F**k 'Em!" To WB Regarding SUICIDE SQUAD Or Playing The Joker Again

Suicide_Squad_Jared_Leto_tricked_R_rating.jpg

In what should be unsurprising news, the original account owner of the Tumblr page which set the comic book movie community afire yesterday with reports that Jared Leto told attendees at his music camp (Camp Mars) that he felt tricked into joining Suicide Squad and that he might not reprise the role of the Joker has now clarified their Tumblr post with the following:

1) I think it’s highly problematic a media outlet such way [sic] Batman-News.com is sourcing someone’s impressions posted on a tumblr account as some sort of fact – when no direct quotes from Jared were ever posted.

2) The 9 second “[frick] em” snapchat video had been posted identifying that that was Jared’s response to his contract asking he not rock climb while filming. That was all it was in regards to. If a media outlet wants to take it out of context to get people to click on an article that has no direct basis beyond someone’s impressions – that’s on them.

3) It’s no secret Jared feels disappointed in what ended up being the theatrical release of Suicide Squad. He’s discussed this repeatedly in interviews during the promotional tour in London. This is the same sentiment he shared in moments during Camp Mars – however he did say he had a lot of fun creating the joker and needs more joker as well.

4) I never meant or wanted my impressions over hearing Jared’s disappointments in the Suicide Squad editing to be taken out of context. It was interesting to hear him be so honest and open and while I captured 16 seconds of that particular moment on snapchat and shared it – there were dozens of people in that room videotaping minutes and possibly the entire event – as a request had never been made to not record it.

If that request had been made – I never would’ve recorded a second of it. I personally just really loved his vibe in that second, being about following his passions no matter what, that I wanted to share it.

The fact this has happened has made me very apprehensive over sharing any additional impressions or thoughts on Camp Mars. Which is unfortunate because it was a very entertaining weekend, Jared was lovely & lively, and I wanted to discuss so much.

Even in the original post, the only verifiable information was a video where Jared Leto was asked about whether he felt concern over "blatantly breaking his Suicide Squad contract by doing dangerous activities such as rock climbing" and his short response was ""F**k 'Em" but it was clearly meant to be a humorous moment, Leto was smiling and clearly not serious. The rest of the post, regarding Leto's thoughts about being tricked and being unsure about returning to play the Joker was pure conjecture and has now been debunked.

The original reports first surfaced on the popular genre website, Batman-News.com before spreading to other outlets. However, it was quickly questioned.

did Fox own Adam West Batman? I thought it was ABC

Fox produced it ABC just aired it.

Fox and WB were negotiating the rights to that series for decades until they finally reached an agreement a few years back.

Yes. Like creating shields of cold that protect Cold and The Rogues. Also the reason he is a big threat to The Flash is that absolute cold environments would slow Flash down considerably. A block of ice cannot. He'd just phase or vibrate straight through it.

Cold gun is one of the most advanced pieces of man made tech in the DCU. Mr. Freeze had shown penis envy over the cold gun before. Considered it superior since it fired beams of absolute zero as opposed to ice.

Capt Cold can survive in normal room tempurature, Mister Freeze would die..Freeze suit also gives him enhanced strength.

Both at times have shown that they can be reasoned with.
