The director that was attached to the flash has dropped out due to creative differences

Rumors are James Wan may be leaving aquaman due to creative differences.

Ayer was probably forced to do those last minute reshoots possibly to add more humor.

Can always get new directors though, but Wan is oNE I'm excited about. Remember the same thing happened with ant man but that turned out good. They may put movies on hold to edit the plan but who knows. Lots of rumors. Batfleck and Geoff Johns may have 100% creative control with batman

Rumor: James Wan May Leave Aquaman

aquaman-180313.jpg

With The Flash film losing its director over creative differences, there seems to be some uneasiness amongst the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe, including the upcoming Aquaman.

According to BirthMoviesDeath.com sources, Director James Wan is possibly exiting Aquaman, due to "a tremendous amount of trepidation" about the project. With Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice not getting the critical or commercial response they had hoped for (though it has raked in $855,322,593 worldwide), Warner Bros. has doubled down on all the DC projects and is taking a much more active role in their development.

A good point is made that Wan doesn't really need Aquaman, as he has both The Conjuring 2 and Lights Out coming out later this year, both of which will most likely be a good return on investment for Warners. With all the chaos that surrounds the DCU at this moment in time, he might just prefer to sit this one out. Hopefully, that isn't the case, but only time will tell.

Director Seth Grahame-Smith Exits The Flash Movie

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Seth Grahame-Smith will no longer make his directorial debut with Warner Brothers' feature film adaptation of The Flash, which will star Ezra Miller (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) as the Scarlet Speedster.

THR has learned that Grahame-Smith, the author and screenwriter of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, is walking away from the project due to "creative differences."

WB "will retain" the script Grahame-Smith penned, which is based on a treatment written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street).

The Flash is scheduled for released on March 3, 2018.

Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns Rumored to Have Complete Creative Control Over Batman Solo Movie

affleck-johns-180959.jpg

A Batman movie written by Ben Affleck and DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns, starring Ben Affleck, and directed by Affleck has long been rumored, and was confirmed in some shape to be on the way at Warner Bros' presentation at Cinemacon. But with so many executives working to build the DC Universe on the big screen, what would that really mean?

According to a new rumor on Heroic Hollywood, Affleck and Johns have "complete creative control" on the Batman solo film. The pair will be able to make every call on the film, as far as its direction, its story, and how it all plays out.

That's good news for fans of the pair of creatives' work. Affleck is an award-winning writer and director, and was praised considerably for his portrayal of Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, even by those otherwise heavily critical of the film. Johns, meanwhile, with his extensive knowledge of the DC Comics source material (which largely got him the Chief Creative Officer position in the first place), and work on comics, film, animated film, television, and video games, knows what elements work in each.

The Batman film is in development now, but does not yet have an officially-announced release window, though 2018 is likely. Justice League Part 1 is filming now.

Rumor: George Miller Being Considered For Green Lantern Corps Director

miller-gl-180957.jpg

DC is being quite cautious with bringing Green Lantern into the Cinematic Universe fold. Nabbing the director of Mad Max: Fury Road would go a long way in instilling some much-needed confidence in the franchise.

Heroic Hollywood's Umberto Gonzalez has heard from sources that George Miller is heavily rumored to be the director for the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie. The film isn't set to debut until June 19th, 2020, but I'm sure DC wants to get a head start on the film to make sure it isn't a repeat of the first Green Lantern film.

Mad Max: Fury Road was a spectacle to behold, and featured some fantastic action sequences. If Miller can make a glorified escort mission that entertaining, imagine what he could do with Green Lantern.

Batman v Superman R-Rated Extended Version Confirmed At 181 Minutes

batman-v-superman-charge-166579.jpg

The official run time of the R-Rated extended edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been revealed, thanks to a listing for the Blu-ray by a Swedish retailer. The extended edition is 181 minutes, right at the "around three hours" mark that's been previously teased.

The extended edition gets an entire subplot that was cut from the theatrical release, including Jena Malone's role that was removed from the movie completely. There will also be some increase in the violence (a little more gore, like a stab wound actually having blood come out of it can instantly increase the rating from PG-13 to R).

The listing also says there will be about two hours of bonus features - again, this is for a European edition, but it should match up fairly closely.

Batman v Superman is still in theaters now, but no official release date for the home edition has been announced. It'll be coming out on Blu-ray, DVD, digital HD, 4K - basically every format under the sun.

Im getting all these superhero movies this year on disc.

Its been a pretty good year so far

And all these shits supposed to have mad extras

Deadpool

BvS

Xmen- unless its completely basura

Civil war

Dr. Strange

Seth Grahame Smith leaving the flash im fine with. Hes completely inexperienced. I liked his books but he hasnt done shit directing wise.

Wan leaving would hurt, ill be dead ass honest. I want a horror movie guy directing Aquaman.

George Miller in GL i just cant see it. Doesnt seem like his type of flick. I would love it, but I could see him doing a WW or a Superman before GL. And remember a wrong director is part of what really hurt the 1st GL movie.

Based on the bolded, they didn't have a chance in hell anyway. Let the director walk and get a new script while you at it!

Just saw the movie. I know...late, but it is what it is when you got two kids. It was reasonably entertaining, but I think all the bad reviews were right on the spot. They kind of overplayed how bad it was, but the criticisms were on point. The general plot was decent, but the way the movie flowed was terrible. It seemed like it could have been much better, but the director fucked it up. I don't really understand how the can do all this overreacting in their response to the movie's failure, but not address the real problem. How the hell you going to allow this director to do the JL movie when it's pretty much universally agreed that he's the reason BvS wasn't as good as it could have been.

The JL movie was basically gonna start shooting a month after BvS. If they would have dumped Sndyer that would have delayed their whole lineup. I agreed with you though. I'm would assume JL will be Sndyers 's last DC movie if it underperforms though.

I don't want to say bvs was Snyder's fault. I really liked the movie for what it gave us. I can understand some complaints because it was poorly edited and seemed choppy at parts bUT I feel like I connected the dots pretty well after it was over. The editors had to edit out over and hour of footage though. Entire subplots were removed it sounds like. I think when the directors cut comes out and we get to see what it was truly meant to be we will be able to determine if the movie was the directors fault or the editors fault.

Faraci at Birth.Movies.Death claims Ben Affleck's Batman will face every significant member of the caped crusader's rogues gallery in the planned solo outing.

Affleck and his co-writer Geoff Johns' goal is reportedly to make the "definitive Batman film" and they want to throw in every recognisable Gotham character into their screenplay to do it.

Here's what Devin says verbatim;

"Many, if not most, members of Batman's rogue's gallery will be making appearances in the film. It's going to be crammed with Bat villains... They want to tell the ultimate Batman story, and to do so they're going to bring in all the big guns. They're going to have a big, sprawling Bat universe already in place."

As Faraci suggests, the easiest Batman movie Affleck and Johns could create to involve every Gotham villain ever would be to use Arkham Asylum as the storytelling device/setting...

seems like they're once again, planning to take on way, way too much.

And it also seems like this wont be that Red Hood movie everyones hoping for.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the bold is the director's fault. Snyder knew they weren't trying to put a 3+ hour movie, so he shouldn't have shot a 3+ hour movie. And some things were just bad. The dream sequences are an example. People shitted on the hallucination sequences in AoU, and they were way more organically placed than the dream sequences in this movie.
