Chris Pine Rumored to Play Dual Role in Wonder Woman Movie

saidww-159261.jpg

We saw that set picture from Said Taghmaoui, and like everyone else, it seemed to confirm a couple of things: There are multiple eras being portrayed in Wonder Woman, and Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, will be resigned to the past in the film.

But a new rumor from Heroic Hollywood says everything may not be quite as it seems, and while Pine is playing a role in the past, he could also play a role in the present.

Borrowing from Dwight Latham and Moe Jaffe's 1947 hit "I'm my own Grandpa," the rumor says that Steve Trevor will be in the present-day story, and that in the World War One part of the film (which is what they say those period costumes are representing), Chris Pine is playing Trevor's grandfather. So he's playing both roles there.

One note of caution on this rumor - besides Umberto Gonzalez's own notes of caution - the timeline seems a little off; a 35 year-old with a WWI veteran grandfather isn't impossible, but it would certainly be uncommon. Of course, so would a grandchild who looks identical to their ancestor, but that's been used a few times in media.

would those of you who are polite enough, list me your top recommendations in DC animated films, discounting Flashpoint and the batman dark knight returns joints which i have seen.

if there is an order i should watch them in, please clarify that as well.

^ Batman: Under the Red Hood and Wonder Woman are both must see. JLA: Crisis on Two Earths as well and the Jonah Hex shorts were also really dope.

downloading all of them but Under the Red Hood and Wonder Woman are literally the first ones that i've got....and that was even before you said them.

Batman Superman Apocalypse and Justice League War were great too. Green Lantern First Flight and Superman Doomsday that fight was fire.

I forgot Green Lantern: First Flight that was pretty cool too. Like an animated Training Day with Sinestro in the Alonzo role.

Yeah First Flight was awesome, DC should make more GL animation lol.

download them all bro, from The Mask of the Phantasm to JL Doom, even Superman Unbound wasn't that bad lol.

I think there is an order after the flashpoint paradox : JL war, Throne of Atlantis and in between basically Batman and Son, Batman Vs. Robin.

Justice League Dark: Ron Perlman and Colin Farrell Rumored Up For Roles

While Guillermo del Toro may have left the Justice League Dark film project behind, he did leave it with a script draft that made Warner Bros excited enough to move forward without him in the director's chair. A new rumor from Latino Review says the production is zeroing in on two members of the cast, which will feature Etrigan, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Constantine, and Deadman.

While some fans may want Matt Ryan to jump into the role he played ably on TV, the rumor says that Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor have both been approached by Warner Bros about the role, with the former the "frontrunner." There's also a reported possibility that if one of them gets Constantine, the other will be offered Jason Blood, the Demon Etrigan's human host.

Friend and collaborator of del Toro, Ron Perlman, meanwhile, was his suggestion for Swamp Thing, and WB is pursuing him for the role. Other rumors point to Monica Belluci coming in as near-immortal magician and sage Madame Xanadu, and that they're looking to diversify Zatanna with a black or hispanic actress.

No new director or official timeline has been assigned to the film, so all of this is with heavy grains of salt. Still, with the buzz building on Suicide Squad, a similarly dark band of misfits with at least one mystical element, it could get pushed into high gear sooner than later.

I like Ewan McGregor way more as an actor but I think Farrell would actually fit Constantine more. They have had very similar lifestyles (bisexual trouble makers with a penchant for booze and smokes).

Might as well make Zatanna latina that way the fanboys can't get mad cause it's closer to what she regularly is presented as anyway (Italian).

Come to think of it McGregor would be excellent for Etrigan/Jason Blood actually. All speculation though I don't trust ElMaybe's scoops.
