Will Suicide Squad be rated R? Also who is playing Batman in the movie?

Well the comic it's based on is R-rated material.

David Ayer the director is also very hard R with his material and he implied on the panel that this movie follows that tradition. Also unlike Marvel Studios nobody at DC has ever said they would not release an R movie. So it very well could lean in that direction if need be. What with the domestic violence (Joker and Harley are in this remember) and all the other mad off the cuff stuff. It also looks like there will be some June Moone and Rick Flagg action.

DC also has a history of not objecting to an R-rating if their property that is being adapted requires it. For example A History of Violence and Road to Perdition. Or even some of WB's own DC adaptations like V For Vendetta, Watchmen and Constantine.

I think WB/DC doesn’t give a shit about the rating they just want it to be the best Suicide Squad movie it could be and if that means it will be R then so be it which is a pretty cool notion. At the same time PG-13 could be pushed pretty damn far anyway so it could still be a hard PG-13. Depends on how those old fogies at the MPAA feel I guess.

This is so dope. All those DC movies that were rated R were dope imo. Especially Watchmen, i slept on that movie for a long time and didnt watch it until this past year. Really really enjoyed it. It would be best if SS was rated R imo. the comics ive read from them had some grimy shit in it. DC not dumbing it down for a PG13 rating would automatically let me appreciate their movie universe more.

So excited for 2016. Comicbook movie every few months.

The more I think about it I'm liking how Suicide Squad is gonna be the universe expanding piece. DC is clearly rushing with the shared universe concept but these characters are ones that people already know so its not that bad. I mean Green Lantern was bad and I doubt they wanted the DCEU to be stuck in that universe so they tie everything into Man of Steel but act like it was already around before Superman showed up.
