The Official Brexit thread. How could Brexit affect us here in America?

Americans are too lazy and to caught up in online banking/commerce (including me) to make a full on bank run and take all their cash out of the banks/matrix.

I will be watching what INDEPENDENT economists say though. Who knows.....I might take a couple of months living expenses out just for the hell of it and ease it back in over the next 2 month if nothing major happens stateside. Seems over the top but there's nothing to lose in doing it.

Beyond that, I can't call it. I don't know enough about it. But as Dick Gregory would say "the rhythm is changing" in the world. I don't know the full ramifications of Britain leaving but it is good that people see that change is possible because there have not been many global shake ups in the world in the past 30-40 years (beyond American imperialism getting stronger and stronger).

Who gives a fuck what happens there

Well this is massive indication on how America could vote in the election. Based on the changing tides of the world.

Basically this indicates it is very likely Trump could be your next POTUS.

Lol, nah

Hilary gotta be watching this and be concerned. Right wing views was a massive part of this decision.

But yea that still might be a stretch...lol

EU referendum live: David Cameron resigns after UK shocks the world by voting for Brexit
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...david-cameron-resigns-as-uk-shocks-the-world/

David Cameron has resigned as Prime Minister after Britain voted to leave the European Union.

It followed a turbulent night with Remain campaigners quietly confident until the early hours when results from Newcastle and Sunderland showed better than expected returns for the Brexit camp.

A surprise victory for a Brexit in Swansea, which was expected to vote to Remain, did little to dampen concerns despite Scotland overwhelmingly backing staying in the Union.

Other votes in Wales began to show a trend towards a surprise Leave vote, particularly in deprived communities.

Been following this heavily.

2 things, Cameron shouldn't have packaged the referendum with his re-election, but I don't think in 2012 he thought right wing politics would be so strong. I have a trip to the UK coming up pretty soon. Nice to see the pound dip a bit.

This will send tidal waves through the EU. France will be next in deciding whether or not to pull out. If France goes, Germany will see itself as bearing the burden of the EU,

The Swiss will make money off it all.

Bro you don't live in a bubble ( or maybe you do). Just like how the US housing crisis brought down the WORLD ECONOMY.......

You know what just don't vote

Steph Curry better than LeBron, speak on that

Situation is fucked. Funny thing is Euro-sceptic countries like Denmark, Italy, Austria, etc will be calling for referendums too. A domino effect could well be in place, but until then the UK can enjoy a plummeting currency and a devaluing of property and a resigning Prime Minister. Brave new world, eh.

Germany is already holding the burden of the EU

Cameron had no choice - his reelection was under the condition of an EU referendum to stop his party rebelling against him. His back was against the wall to begin with.

I just wish I invested in a bit of gold right now.

This could lead to the collapse of the U.K. Pretty interesting stuff.

Scotland and Northern Ireland want their independence.

David Cameron - the Prime Minister who destroyed the UK.

Didnt Scotland or N Ireland just vote to stay in the UK?

David Cameron didnt break up the UK. The vote to leave the EU did that. I think they should push this UK break up thing really hard to scare people. Yeah people wanted out of the EU but they didnt know the UK was going to break up.

The ramifications are all right there in the word. One example can be found in Ezekiel 38. It tells us that Britian will not be with the EU when the invasion of Gog and Magog happens. Amen.

It's all going according to the script.

But there is one major piece that still must fall into place before the 4th beast kingdom tramples the entire world down. And that piece is the lone superpower on earth today.

Guess who that is?

1 day

1 hour

Finished!

For shall not the day of the LORD be darkness and not light? Even very dark with no brightness in it! And they who are courageous amongst the mighty shall flee away naked in that day! Yes, the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Amen.

Scotland just voted to remain in the UK. One reason they did that was to remain in the EU. I wonder if this will set up another referendum to exit the UK and join the EU themselves.

I predict a somewhat "slow boil" domino effect here in the states.

In the midst of this worldwide anti-immigration sentiment sweeping the UK, countries are increasingly becoming more isolationist. Keep an eye on the terms and conditions of their release from the EU, and if they choose to punish the UK, for leaving.

Great Britain has always been half in half out of the European Union (they never adopted the monetary system of Euros). One certainty that will have a massive effect on our stock market (and our 401K's) are the dismantling of decades old trade deals the UK has with the European Union.

Ultimately, this is a win for Trump, and his anti-union, anti-immigration, posture. He's tapping into a worldwide phenomenon of angry white working class anger.

This vote kinda makes you revisit ivory tower directed, social engineering. Maybe Muhammad Ali, was on to something when he lamented that, "In nature Red birds with red birds and blue birds with bluebirds." Pigeons with pigeons and Eagles with eagles."
