We not comparing Pavlik and GGG but Pavlik beat nobody but Taylor and Miranda

Pavlik had already let B Hop trick him into coming up and was an alcoholic when Martinez fought him

and Pavlik was on his way to still beating Martinez until he got cut

ESPN top 10 p4p rankings

1. Mayweather

2. Pacquiao

3. Marquez

4. Bradley

5. Rigondeaux

6. Golovkin

7. Gonzalez

8. Klitschko

9. Kovalev

10. Cotto
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/11860272/kovalev-makes-top-10

No fucking way that list is legit with Marquez at #3 and Cotto being in the top 10. WTF kind of shit is that?

cotto deserves at least 10 for the milestone and being the top dog at 160

We both know Cotto is not the best fighter at 160 so he can't be top dog. Being the lineal champ doesn't mean you are the best fighter at a certain weight class.

you beat the best it means you are the best. granted you this is until proven otherwise but you can't just deny someone the top spot after beating the best

At that point in his career Martinez wasn't the best though. I'm not trying to downgrade Cotto beating Martinez by any means just stating what I feel are factual details of the situation. If Cotto fought and beat GGG at 160 I would say he is the best. I would say that because GGG would be the best fighter at 160 Cotto has faced and Cotto would be the best opponent GGG has faced by leaps and bounds.

I'm not 100% sold on GGG but my eyes tell me he is better than Peter Quillin and others like him at 160.

martinez resume at 160 shits on GGG at 160.

GGG best fights are against guys martinez already beat. i mean its a p4p list. a guy who actually moved to different weight classes and won is proving he is a champ p4p

HOW SWAY?

who Martinez beat at 160 that his resume shits on GGG

Paul Williams(that was two 154ers fighting at 160)

Alcoholic Pavlik ?

Chavez who everybody expected him to beat

Yall gotta stop rewriting history

pavlik who was the man at 160 (taylor wasn't 160)

his defenses at 160 were against guys GGG would go on to fight later. GGGs best win does not compare to pavlik who was lineal champ. as a matter of fact GGG best wins were against guys martinez had already beaten.

what history is being rewritten?

name me a fighter GGG has beaten better than pavlik

Good point

How do you trick someone into fighting at a catchweight, when it was obvious he and his handlers thought that would be an even better way to pack more power in his punches and he would not have to cut too much to make weight (according to the HBO Countdown special) No need to answer, since one is not needed, you sissy faggot fuck bwoy.

Briggs should definitely get a shot just based off his antics

hes pulling a pg out of muhammad ali's book now

with briggs going a little bit overboard with taking his shirt off

but u get the picture, same method, different ppl

and different caliber of champions with Ali and Frazier obviously being cut from another cloth

and Briggs and Klitschko(though hes a future hall of famer, he aint in the same league as Ali and Frazier, and the caliber of opponents they faced in their era)

champions in a watered down heavyweight era

Briggs is a bum

well hes an entertaining

if it wasn't for briggs, Klitschko would just have another boring ass training session, and interviews regarding the fight

nothing interesting

Briggs trolling is actually sparking a flame (regardless of how small it is lol), in the usual bleek heavyweight diviison

though he prolly wont' win

dude is entertaining and funny

Briggs may be a "bum" but out side of Wider and Stivernne(they gotta fight each other) he is the next best option cuz of hype and his antics sorta how Chisora was when he got his fight with Wlad and Haye. and atleast Briggs has legit power and wont be so undersized altho his asthma will be an excuse lol

Yall know where this is going right................

Hayden Pantierre...........

Yo- everywhere you go, I go. Let's go champ!

The fight will happen.

they really should just let the klitskos fade to black. briggs could have done this whole lets go champ routine with wilder or stiverne and they could have actually marketed it here in the US

if briggs gets his fight.....even if he gets knocked the fuck out....

this shit was the absolute smartest thing in the world for him to do

Photos: Briggs Attempts Disguise To Confront Klitschko!

Hamburg, Germany - Former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs is at it again. This time the boxer attempted to use a disguise to crash the official weighin to Wladimir Klitschko vs. Kubrat Pulev. Briggs has been stalking Klitschko since the start of the year, hoping to get a crack at the WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion. Briggs crashed several of Klitschko's training session's in Florida and confronted the champion in public settings. Briggs traveled to Germany in April to crash several media functions for Klitschko's defense with Alex Leapai.

This week Briggs tried to crauosh the open workouts, but even with a disguise security spotted him and quickly blocked him off before he was able to get any closer to the stage.
