im familiar with his catalog: money, cars, bitches, drugs, bragging. watered down shit. lather rinse and repeat. jay z never has made a song that made me cry like pac has. great poets reach in the depths of souls of hearts of the audience and touches them. its rare. very rare. jay z doesnt have that gift. he creates manufactured hip hop.

You cried from listening to a rap song? C'mon Son!!!

Jay and Nas surpassed Pac and Biggie years ago, deal with it.

No jigga warrior here Tomp but since when did sales = skills? Or is that not what this thread is about?

Who is Jigga Warrior, i'm stating the truth. Jay has been here for 14 years and Nas 16 years and are still relevant, we don't know how Pac and Biggies career would of turned out. I don't give a fuck if 50 has outsold anyone, it's about longevity and catalog and 50 is clearly lacking in that. Eminem is nowhere near these dudes when it comes to catalog either.

50 last album went gold... which is cool. Jay's last album went plat...which is cool. They say you're only as big as your last hit. Jay's last hit was Empire State Of Mind. 50's last hit was I Get Money.....DAMN HOMEY!!!

pac is dead and he is more relevant than jay z. pac sold more while he was dead than jay z his entire 14 year bottomfeeder career. and you are only lying to yourself if you think Jay Z is a larger rapper than Eminem. Eminem doesnt have to show his face for 4 years and does 650k with no video while that punk ass camel need 2 videos and help from rihanna and kanye west to help him sale 430k

I don't see the issue...Nigga's DO compare him to Biggie & Pac already and have been since Hard Knock Life dropped. Don't act like this is new news, his skills are better than Biggie and 'Pac. 'Pac was more passionate and influential and Biggie was more fly & flashy, but Jay-Z truly EARNED the throne point blank. He's the only rapper that I can think of who was crowned King by the people before he ever claimed to be the best himself. First the people called him the best, then he said "Fuck It, I Am That Nigga Then". LoL

Pac shits on Jay when it comes to passion and subject matter, however technical skill wise Jay is light years ahead of Pac... as far as compared to Big... I think Jay was a bit more diverse in his subject matter, and you can go either way in regards to who had better technical skill although I think Jay takes that overall

this is what I say

This whole thread proves Jay-Z's point, LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

Keep on hating though. 2pac is the greatest of all time, that I agree with, but Jay has to be number 2. 12 number one albums???? Are you serious. Jay-Z is a god of hip-hop, nothing less. His style and stature is incomparable to anyone in music right now. Rocawear has taken over the urban clothing industry, and BP3 still gets heavy play....how can ya'll hate on a man as great as Jay? He's a legend, and I will go so far to say he's the greatest rapper alive. Biggie would be very proud of Jay-Z right now.
