Are there things Pac did better than Big?, of course and there are things that Big did better than Pac. To me they are the ying and yang of Hip Hop. But being "Socially consious" doesn't make you a better rapper than someone else. Actually if you look at Hip Hop's orgins it wasn't very socially consious. It was about partying and having a good time. The consiousness came in Minorities having an artform that kept them off the streets from getting into other things. Now i'm all for consiousness and deeper meaning but what is consious and what's not consious is subjective. "Ready To Die" did have a level of consiousness to it but people act like it was just "Guns, Hoes and Clothes". I don't need a rapper to give me a history lesson. That's what books are for. Hip Hop is entertainment at the end of the day. Pac was more socially consious than Biggie, not a newsflash. But Biggie already proved he could go bar for bar with Pac. A rookie Biggie callaboed with him and on every callabo he held his own.
