likewise i understand breh u from new york and u biggie fan i ger u going to deny facts and the fact is pac sold more then biggie according to sound scan so that is all that matters.

Who said Pac didn't sell more than Biggie while alive? The Point was most of Pac sales came during the Beef, Biggie's did not. Also Biggie was at the beginning of his career not 5LP's deep like Pac was. Pac released what 6 LP's to Biggie's 2 LP's including Junior Mafia? Yet Big was able to do this:

RTD - 2x PLATINUM
JUICY - GOLD
BIG POPPA - PLATINUM
ONE MORE CHANCE - PLATINUM
CONSPIRACY - PLATINUM
PLAYA'S ANTHEM - GOLD
GET MONEY - PLATINUM
CRUSH ON YOU - PLATINUM
ONLY YOU - GOLD
CAN'T YOU SEE - GOLD
REAL LOVE - GOLD

Album Sales: 3x PLatinum
Single Sales: 7.5x Platinum

Mind you this is off 1 LP and a Group Project, he moved a combined 10 Million album and singles before March 97'.

I am more of a Pac fan than Big. But to me these albums are pretty even. I like the production better on aeom. But I am prob one of the only people that like LAD better than RTD

Rapmaster mind. was bringing up charts and shit

I was only commenting on the person that said "I ain't Mad At Cha" is a bigger hit than any Biggie song which was a joke obviously cause it's just false on so many levels.

Fuck album sales... AEOM was flatout better.

Depends on what u r looking at. Take the best songs on AEOM and put them up against the best on LAD. I think both had filler.

How was it a Bigger hit when it didn't even Chart on the Hot 100 or even go Platinum as a single?

Big Poppa, Juicy and One More Chance >>>>>> Bigger hit than I ain't mad at cha

And that's not even getting to "Life After Death". You just wrong duke, take the L and keep it movin.

pac sold that off the how do u want it single alone

Please do more research, Pac ain't never even sale 7 Million combined off his singles. Here's his overall Single Sales:

I get Around - Gold
Keep your head up - Gold
Dear Momma - Platinum
California Love/How Do you Want It - 2x Platinum
Smile - Gold
Do For Love - Gold

= 5x Platinum

Pac got Biggie beat in albums sales but Biggie sold way more singles than Pac which is why he charted higher over all than Pac did as far as singles.

this debate is not going anywhere no one in this thread is gonna change anybody's opinion on those albums. this is basically a pac vs biggie thread in disguise and it comes down to which rapper you personally prefer.

ok since we counting single sales too pac sold even more then i thought face facts pac sold more then biggie alive. pac sales did'nt come during the beef he was a multi platinum artist before he and biggie friendship went sour your not making any sense at all.

LIFE AFTER DEATH: THE SONGS THAT COULD OF BEEN SINGLES

F*ckin U Tonight
Notorious Thugs
Goin Back To Cali
I Love The Dough
Nasty Boy (It was remixed in 2006 and became an international #1 hit and went Gold as a single)
Another

Big had singles for days, remember Puffy only released 3 singles from the 24 song LP and all 3 singles were hits.

Anyways, here's what I said about the comparisons of the LP's in a different Post

Life After Death cause in my view, Biggie was more skillful throughout his double disc than Pac. Biggie took more chances by not limiting himself to one style. "All Eyes On Me" is a westcoast style album, that's it. You can't say the same for "LAD" which has styles from every single region including Westcoast, South and Midwest along with the East. "Life After Death" was also the better produced album. Biggie had Rza (Of Wu Tang), DJ Premier (Of Gangstarr), Kay Gee (Of Naughty By Nature) Easy Mo Bee, Havoc (Of Mobb Deep), Buckwild (of D.I.T.C), Chucky Thompson, Clark Kent, And the Hitmen (D.Dot, Stevie J, Diddy, Nashiem Mavrick and Carlos Brody). Where as "All Eyes On Me" was mostly produced by 2 people, Johnny J and Daz. Biggie had better callabos from Jay Z, Bone Thugs, Lil Kim, Too Short, The Lox, Ma$e and Puffy. As Well as RnB artist 112, R. Kelly, Faith and Carl Thomas. "AEOM" had Outlaws, Method Man and Redman, Dogg Pound, Dr. Dre, Snoop, E-40, Big Syke, Rappin 4 tay, V-bo, Napolian and singing from Roger Troutman, George Clinton, Nate Dogg, Danny Boy, Storm, Kci and JoJo, and Jewells. Pac's album was too callabo heavy and made the album feel more like a compliation.

Where "Life After Death" truely succeeds is Biggie was extremely versitle on the album. Storytelling, Club Tracks, Deep/Emotional/Spirital Tracks, Hardcore Street Tracks, Beef tracks, RnB Tracks, Westcoast tracks, Midwest Tracks, Southern Tracks. I believe "All Eyes On Me" has the bangers no doubt but "LAD" had slightly more which is why it's replay value is very strong till this day. Also Lyrically and flow wise, Biggie shinned better. Again Both 5 Mics for sure but Biggie did it better, his album was more thoughtout and cohesive since it took 1 yr 1/2 to create it. It wasn't just something that was thrown together in the studio. Biggie's team treated the album like an Epic Motion Picture so each song really shines through. On the 24 track LP, the only songs that were average were "Another" but that was for the girls and they love that song as well as "Nasty Boy" another track for the ladies. "Playa Hater" was a joke so it can't be taken seriously. The Rest of the LP is damn near flawless. Pac had way to many callabos, Biggie gave you more solo songs.

Tupac Didn't go Platinum until after he was shot, in jail and beefing with Biggie. Pac didn't go Platinum until 95 which was after he and Biggie had a fall out. Yes he was a Bigger Star than Biggie overall, that's no question but Biggie did not take as long as Pac did to become a success album and single sales wise. Biggie was an INSTANT success.
