Injury Report

Looks like Freeney is 100%. Tru, Coleman and Tamme will be back after the bye.

Following a weekend off, the Falcons were given a few extra days to get healthy for their upcoming road matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. The rest helped one Falcon in particular, Dwight Freeney, who missed Atlanta's Week 9 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a quad injury.

Head Coach Dan Quinn said the veteran is "looking great" and is anticipating him to be available this week.

Desmond Trufant (shoulder) and Tevin Coleman (hamstring) will be day-to-day and taken through the week before any decisions are made regarding their game status.

Jacob Tamme will "likely be out" according to Quinn after injuring his shoulder in the Falcons' win over the Packers.

"Tamme will likely be out," Quinn said on his weekly radio show on 92.9 The Game Wednesday morning. "Coleman [is] going to run today, we'll get a better feel for him. He is closer and is day-to-day; Trufant is as well. Those two are the ones that we will take all the way through the week and take it all the way up until game time before we decide. Tamme is the only one who will likely be out. We are anticipating Dwight Freeney, he's back and looks great. We were able to get a lot done with him over the weekend and on Monday. He looks good. From an injury standpoint, we are definitely improving."

No Tru, Coleman or Tamme this Sunday.

Eagles offense dont scare me much so I think we will be good minus Tru....

Dink and dunk ass QB. Nah, we don't need him this weekend. We need Tru for #1 WRs. They don't have one.

Julio mind was on a beach somewhere in the 4th quarter with those drops.

We should get Coleman and Tru back after the break so I'm not tripping on this one too much.

The Falcons have signed RT Ryan Schaeder to a 5 year max deal worth $33 million. Base value is $32 million. $19.5 million over 3 years. $12.5 million guaranteed.

Hes been playing pretty good considering he was undrafted. Good to go head and lock him up early. Couple more contracts coming up but we have some dead money falling off the books this year I believe....

Tru and Coleman back at practice. I didnt think we would miss Tru against the Eagles, glad he back.

We didn't miss Tru. They had their best WR lined up, in the slot, against our rookie UDFA. He shitted on our nickle. Their running game as well as their dink and dunking killed us. That signing means we going hard at the Dline this offseason. Shelby was our best run-defensive player. We missed him more than Tru.

The Eagles bullied us in the run game. The front 7 must fix that. David Johnson is much tougher than anyone Philly has. Carson Palmer can be hit and if you hit him enough he will give you the ball but none of that matters if you cant stop the run.

Falcons pro bowl CB Desmond Trufant out for the season for shoulder injury.

Blessing in disguise

This is Tru's contract year. Might be able to get him cheaper coming off an injury.

This also means more playing time for Goodwin, Olatoye, and Collins. Much needed experience...one of them will be the reasons why Alford will be on another team next year.

Good win yesterday. Needed it.... Game started off slow but we really got it together in that second half.

Defense had a solid game outside of that first half. Struggled to contain the RB but he is the only one that got off...... Late touchdown was helped by some BS calls from the refs. Jalen Collins got picked on heavy, at one time it seem like they threw at him 10 str8 plays. He struggled early but played some tight coverage late in the game and made a couple big plays.

I think this K.C game is gonna be a tough one. But I expect us to win at home.

Need to a W vs KC.

The Rams and 49ers are the next 2 on the schedule.

Win those and the Saints and Panties games are meaningless at the end of the season unless Seattle goes on a losing streak. There's still a small window for the 2nd seed. Still need Tampa to go away though.

Good win yesterday. We got some good pressure on the qb. Collins showed his potential yesterday, Alford is becoming a more consistent player and Poole continues to impress. We should be ok w/o Tru.

Coleman came back and so did the balance. Ryan spread the ball around and got everyone involved. We are more than just the Atlanta Julio's. When everyone gets touches we are hard to beat.
