Manning and A Rod look worse than CK vs Seattle. GB just a soft ass squad. They have no ballers in trenches on either side of the ball.

And yea that was the ultimate respect not going at Sherman. Cant knock Sherman

I just told my boi that same thing. GB is not a good barometer especially after the RT went down. It was damn near light out. So surprised they didnt at least go at Sherman.

Seattle has three weapons on their offense. Percy Harvin, Zach Miller, and Marshawn Lynch. Their WRs outside of the Harvin, WRs was not a factor. San Fran's D WAS built to stop them. Active Safeties, capable corners, great front seven.

Arizona, Denver, KC and St Louis are all capable of slowing down this offense but can their offense produce.

I see their loss coming from those teams this season because they have the D to match up. In the case of the division rivals and KC, They got them away from Seattle.

Watch and see another fluke loss get them at home like the Giants.

I was always curious on how New Yorkers pick their teams in baseball and Football

See here in Chicago, the Cubs are on the North side, and the Sox's are on the south side, that differentiate the two

I know the Yankees are in the Bronxs and the Mets are in Queens but what about other boroughs?

How do you pick which team you root for in football seeing how they both play in the same area?

I imagine NYers just rooting for whatever teams is good at the time and sticking with them which makes Jets fans even more confusing cause them niggas have never really been good

Well, from what I've seen....

The Giants are the "wine and cheese" type, and the Jets are the typical low-brow New Yorkers with the heavy accents.

The Knicks are pretty much everywhere outside of Brooklyn, and The Nets are pretty much all of BK.

No fux given about hockey outside of Manhattan, which are all Rangers fans.

Outside of Queens, no one rocks with the Mets. Yanks own NY.

I picked the Jets because of Pennington and I've stuck with them since.

I picked the Nets because they were in my home state.

@lamontbdc true, Kaep has been they only QB I seen look good against Seattle's D. Too bad he stared down Crabtree in the NFC championship game, cause San Fran. Could of easily gone to the SB too.

@ghost!

I'm not sure why they try to throw fade routes to Crabtree. That's just not his game he can't out jump anybody. Just a poor decision all around. Same goes for the super bowl. I've never seen Crabtree ever out jump anybody and catch a fade route. Apparently if they see one on one coverage he goes to Crabtree regardless of who's checking him.

not saying your wrong but I ain't never seen a "wine and cheese" type football fan ever, let alone giants fans. there's really not much of a difference between giants and jets fans from what I seen

jets fans just suffer more

Former Steeler James Harrison caps career 'where it started'

Flanked by his former teammates and coaches, James Harrison officially announced his retirement from the NFL this afternoon at the Steelers’ practice facility.

Harrison, an outside linebacker who played with the Steelers for 10 of his 11 NFL seasons, ranks fourth in franchise history with 64 sacks. He earned two Super Bowl rings and was the NFL defensive player of the year in 2008.

“It really is family here, and I wanted to come back and finish it where it started,” Harrison said.

The Steelers don’t always allow former players to come back to announce their retirements, but team president Art Rooney II said Harrison is one who deserves that honor.

“I have been asked over the years, if a player leaves the team, is he is able to come back and call himself a Steeler?” Rooney said. “I think the answer to that is: it depends. When you’re a player like James, who helped us win more than one championship and probably had the greatest play in Super Bowl history, there is a bond that develops between those teams that wins championships that is unbreakable. We are pleased James asked to come back to announce his retirement today.”

Others Steelers luminaries in attendance included team chairman Dan Rooney, general manager Kevin Colbert, head coach Mike Tomlin and former teammates Brett Keisel, Troy Polamalu, Ike Taylor and Joey Porter.

Harrison is best remembered for his 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in Super Bowl XLIII. That interception return, the final play of the first half, gave the Steelers a 17-7 halftime lead en route to a 27-23 victory over that Arizona Cardinals that clinched the team’s sixth Lombardi Trophy.

The ultimate goal is to win a Super Bowl and we came through,” Harrison said. “It wasn’t just me. It was 10 other guys out there. Everyone else was hustling their tail off.”

Harrison had his share of run-ins with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. He became the poster child in his later years with the team for illegal hits to the head. In one game against Cleveland in 2010, Harrison knocked two Browns players – Josh Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi – out of the game with vicious hits.

Harrison ended his news conference today with one final salvo to the commissioner.

“I’d also like to thank Roger Goodell for being my biggest adversary,” said Harrison, who then walked away from the podium smiling as the laughter of Steelers personnel erupted around him.

lol at the nfl bandwagoning for "offense" that's honestly why the Seahawks ( and nfc west as a whole) is so dominant... nfl just want people 2 score so much... I honestly am more happy with a 17-14 game than a 28-36 game if the defense is good...
