And also lol @ how all these niggas like "i knew GS being shooters wouldn't work "i knew they were too young/inexperienced" "i knew all the flash wouldn't work"

Yall niggas LYING

Wont nobody preaching that golden state would be struggling before game 1. Now yall acting like this was the obvious result and you knew it all along

i picked the cavs. before game 1.

and it aint hard if you actually watch and understand bball to not be surprise about what is transpiring. Being young inexperience has always been a factor in any team sport don't matter what level you are at. It takes more than just being in the finals., all this ish is learned. Lebron had to learn going against the spurs, n the mavs,. Dirk, Kobe, Wade etc. If you watch enough basketball also you would know, no team is gonna win anyone's championship just shooting jump shots...

now this series is not over by a long shot, but if you understand the game of basketball it ain't hard to understand what is going on right now.

Your argument would have merit, if it didnt work both ways...

Delledova, Shump, JR, Tristan, Mosgov... please let me know how much experience they have deep in the playoffs...

Im not saying AFTER WATCHING the 3 games its hard to see what is happening, but if you were gonna say the cavs were gonna win the series because of EXPERIENCE then that's a dumb argument, cuz it's only Lebron with any,

This comes down to one thing - people vastly underestimated Lebron and the impact he can have individually and by elevating the play of his entire team. That is what greats do. If you couldnt see that, then that's on you.

I picked GS in a long series - but I did so with hesitation because of the dude standing on the other sideline.

This is true. Vastly underestimated... but with good reason. It's unprecedented for someone to win the finals as the only all-star caliber person on their team against the best team in the league.

Yes and No.

If you have been watching him play his whole career, objectively, you knew this type of dominance was a possibility.

He's literally averaging OVER 48 minutes per game and will possibly average a triple double including ~40 points. That's unprecedented. No one is calling that type of performance.

You are right. No one predicted this statistical performance.

But if you thought it impossible that he could will his team to a victory (regardless of how the numbers played out), then you underestimated his greatness. He is an All Timer.

I don't believe in "willing your team to victory" That's some espn bullshit

You can draw attention off your shooters, guard the other team's best player, pass your teammates open etc... That's good playmaking and just being great overall. But when niggas say "willing his team to victory" that sounds like BS. Like he wants a ring more than other people so they play harder or some shit. I don't buy that.

Lmao. What do you call what is happening?

Use all of your stats and strategies and in depth explanations. At the end of the day- its simple.

He does want it more. For a lot of reasons.

-Who has had more doubters for over a decade?

-Who has been more scrutinized?

-Who in the league has had more failures and disappointments on the biggest stage?

-Who in the league is closer to being compared to the greatest of all time?

-Who was the dude that came home to a city that has been yearning for a championship, literally forever?

But its not only that, he is able to take it - because he is better than everyone else on the floor - really in his era.

So call it what you want. But it wasn't impossible to predict

I already gave examples of what is happening.

But to say "he wants it more" is laughable. Like you know this nigga personally.

The goal for everyone in the nba is to win the championship. You cant say a nigga "wants it more" just cuz he's the best player in the league.

So there is no correlation between will/focus/determination and a player's performance?

So Dellavadova is just better than Curry?

He is performing better.

If your theory were true, then all of these guys would be fucking video game characters - with ratings for each dimension of playing ability. Sports would just be a math problem where the better team statistically would always win.

They are human, b. This is life. Everything that people do is influenced by will, focus, and determination.

Completely missing the point.

How do you define wanting it more? How can you measure that?

Give me an answer to that and you have the potential to start making sense.

Cuz what you talking is basically saying the Warriors DONT want to win this ring. Which is not even reply-worthy.

You are missing the point. You are looking at things like they are black and white.

I am not saying the Dubs don't want to win. I am saying the Cavs want to win MORE.

If you can't see that the Cavs are playing with more effort than the Dubs, I don't know what to tell you.

Yes, Xs and Os, talent, and matchups are a part of it. But so is being willing to sell out everything to win. There is no way to explain the series outcome so far without conceding that as a factor in what has transpired. You could also just watch the games and its obvious.

Of course you can't quantify will. Does that mean it doesn't exist? Or it is absolutely constant among every single person in the league?

Have you not heard of players who were mega talented but didn't reach their potential?

Do you think if Jordan had "Meh" work ethic, he would be the GOAT?

And I'm saying that just because a team is playing with more intensity does not necessarily mean they want to win more. That just means they play with more intensity.

Just because a team is playing with more focus or effort, doesn't mean they want to win more. That just means they are playing with more focus and effort.

Not every player is like delledova where they play 48 minutes of skin tight D. Thats his style. Doesn't mean he's the hardest playing nigga on the court.

Lost in all the delledova and mike miller diving for loose balls is the fact that there were warriors diving for them too.

Clearly game one the Cavs were playing with just as much intensity as the past two games, still lost the game.

I'm not discrediting intensity/focus/will being a factor. I'm arguing against the fact that it means that player wants to win more.

They are not one and the same.

Exactly, Cleveland is playing with more grit not because they want it more but that's the only chance they have to win with the talent they have, with Kyrie and Love they could be down 0-3 right now but due to certain circumstances they are playing with a lot more grit than they would have fully healthy and it's been a matchup nightmare for GS

I agree but ESPN and all these networks will make money off it. He's the poster boy for ESPN so if he comes out with this story the "haters" will perhaps change their mind about him.

So your contention is that the Warriors are not intelligent enough to understand that playing with intensity and focus increases their chances of winning. That was an assumption for me.

And LMAO, if you dont think Dellavadova was the hardest playing dude on the court.

He wouldn't have made half of the rosters in the NBA before the season. Yet he is an impact player in the finals .. But it is not because he plays hard, or has more will than other players on the court?

Just because the Cavs lost Game 1 doesn't mean they were not playing with more effort and exhibited more will to win. Remember there are other factors that play into it.

You been watching these games? How many times have you seen Mike Miller, Delly and fuckin James Jones hit the ground for 50/50 balls in the past? Probably never. And how many times did GS players hit the deck for a loose ball before the Cavs' players? I don't think even once.

The Cavs do want it more, and it could be suggested it's that way because LeBron wants it more. Hell, Iggy himself said they need to start playing like every possession was their last. The Cavs been playing like that. Kobe cosigned the theory as well. It's not far-fetched like you seem to believe.

So in LeBron's finals matchup against the Mavs, tell me why LeBron wouldn't have equal or MORE determination than this championship?

He was already labeled a "choker", hadn't even gotten his first ring (first is always most important), pressure on him to perform etc...

Why was it not the same shit happening in that series? According to yall the heat should've been playing like they wanted it more because LeBron wanted it more.

Or are you saying he didn't "want a ring" as much in his finals losses as opposed to his wins?

Stupid theory and impossible to prove.

Straw man. Do better.

No, my contention is that Curry was off most of the game until the end, barnes was wack af, lee didn't play enough, delledova had his best game ever offensively, LeBron was unstoppable again, and the warriors couldn't compete on the boards against Thompson. The story of the series....

Lol you tryna make it seem like the warriors are just walking up and down the court half interested in the game. FOH.

And no I don't think delledova is the playing the hardest on the court. Besides the obvious answer, lebron, I think iggy is. The media is just making you focus on delladova.

You still haven't said anything that proves the cavs "want to win more" ... because you can't.... so this convo is pretty much done.

golden state inexperience is killing them. Cleveland is dead tired and exhausted. Every 4th quarter Cleveland struggles on offense because they are exhausted.

However, Golden State is too lose with the ball and if they shoot one more three while on a fast break imam throw the remote through my TV.

Case and point in the 4th quarter two plays cost Golden State from taking the lead. Iggy and Curry had miscommunication on the pick and roll by Delladova and LeBron. Delladova then gets by and hits a miraculous shot.

Next possession down steph curry attempts a behind the back pass to Draymond Green and passes the ball out of bounds.

They need to cut that shit out, push the ball limit turnovers, stop shooting unnecessary threes when on the fast break. They can still win cuz if this series goes to a game 7 Cleveland may not have enough left in the tank

Speaking of that shot Delly hit off that pick Steph got away with about 4 fouls on him before they actually blew the whistle on that play. That shit was crazy

Its obvious that the Cavs want it more, if you can't see it - I am afraid you never will.

Let's just settle for witnessesing greatness while we can.
