It's an entertaining rivalry for CS purposes but it hasn't had national importance for about 3 yrs. Especially with Texas getting soul snatched the last few years

More than 3 blowouts in a 10 year span automatically knocks a rivalry down a peg. Even if the recent record is one sided, the games have to be close to sustain a nationally recognized rivalry.

The hate flows no matter what. OU and texass could drop down to Division II or become Juco's and it would still be hate flowing in the red river.

I think the best national rivalry right now is Ohio State/Michigan. Both teams ranked, at least one is a title contender, national hype -- no conference "unity" type shit.

I have to shaq-face any rivalry where the fans like to chant the conference's name during games.

Ill admit the game has lost some of the overall importance due to the loss of the Big 12 title game but still, when it comes to all time rivalry you cant tell me there is one better. Chicago/Indiana Vs. Miami is currently the best rivalry in the NBA but all time wouldnt put it up there with LA/Bos

And regardless of the season or the record this game comes down to one thing

Sound about right. If we win it'll be like 31-17, or something like that. We're a ball control offense now. And our defense is more about shutting shit down than ball-hawking.

I wanna break the 2000-2004 streak of 5 straight seasons with a RRR win. (Had a 6-year streak in the 50s.)

This will be Stoops' 10th RRR win since he been here so that makes it kinda special.

Shit is a trap game now for the most part. But please believe ether will flow, especially if it's another Red River Massacre.

Former Auburn head coach Pat Dye joined those ranks on Monday when he criticized the addition of Rice to the committee on WJOX morning show The Opening Drive.

"All she knows about football is what somebody told her," Dye said. "Or what she read in a book, or what she saw on television. To understand football, you've got to play with your hand in the dirt."

"I love Condoleezza Rice and she's probably a good statesman and all of that but how in the hell does she know what it's like out there when you can't get your breath and it's 110 degrees and the coach asks you to go some more?"
