Dude, what the hell? How are you gonna say no one knw who the fuck he is, the dude sells out shows consistently, good size shows too (3k-5k). He sold out the UCF basketabll arena when he was here in Orlando.

I personally think J Cole is a slow build artist, i don't think he will come out taking the scene like Drake, but i think he will be like a Nas, Jay, etc where they dropped a dope debut that laid a foundation and build on it. Then he will manage to find the balance of underground and mainstream music! As for Ross, i wouldn't say Ross has hit records, hit records are top 40 songs to me. Ross is a perfect example of what J Cole can be, slowly put out quality music and improve album after album, it's a marathon not a sprnt.

I don't care about no hit song, we haven't even heard the fucking album to determine none of that shit, just pure speculation and useless nonsnse. Let the man make the best quality he can make, then we can properly judge him.

Jay Z was apparently a Crack dealer with out a father etc

Snoop Dogg was a Gang Member Crip that sold drugs and went on trial for killing a rival Gang Member etc

50 Cent was a Crack dealer, his mother was a Crack dealer, his mother got shot and died and he was raised by his grandparents, he got shot 9 times etc

Yeah, he definitely needs to stop fucking singing or if he is gonna do it, make it be like Dreams where he has a r and b artist backing his vocals. He should also think about sampling chorus's

I don't think the hooks are the problem, i can name a bunch of classic without catchy hooks. I personally have more of a problem with how so many of his beats sound like shells and feel like something is missing (2face, disgusting, etc). Then again most of the tracks we've heard were pre NO ID came on the scene to tutor him.
