I forgot about NY Compression honestly plus my mixing for the time being is horrible. I'll get it eventually. Sign me up for Vol 2 I need the practice.

Wow to everyone involved in this, y'all really brought some A-1 shit. I only voted for myself to see the vote count and I couldn't listen to the beats at that time, but my vote would go to @Fosheezy. Your beat was the only one I played straight through, only cuz it was that dope and it made me lose track in what I was doing. I just... don't know what else to say about that. Just wow.

@KINGEC brought out the big machinery with them horns on that Sprout joint and the Motown-esque bells on the Didn't I joint.

@mosincredible, I think you flipped the Sprout and the Bean record the best out of all of us. The beat reminds of some Nujabes shit.

@Rue_Flexington, you had pretty much the same idea I had with the Didn't I sample, but that would've been cheating for me. Still, you did it in an original way. I like the way you arranged it.

@AggyAF, you should've gotten way more props for this beat. You took a smooth soul record, an emo rock record and an alternative record and made a hard ass trap sounding beat with no traces of either of those genres. Nice

@BenjaminE, I like the idea of the beat... clean it up a little and it'll go even harder.

@(ob)scene, I wasn't feeling the beat in the beginning, but what you added made it much better.

@xxCivicxx, I like the arrangement of the sample, I wasn't feeling the drum selection though. Maybe cuz it was too loud and compressed. Dope shit tho.

As for me... I was taken aback by these samples. The only one I was really feeling was Hey. Big Sean already flipped Didn't I (I'm ashamed of myself for knowing that), and I got the Sprout joint late and I already made my mind up with Hey. I made like 3 different beats and didn't know what direction to go, so I went with my gut. My goal was to make an original composition with pure samples, so I chopped everything up and rearranged them. I see niggas wanna play rough tho. Next time I'm gonna bring out the big guns. Sign me up for Vol 2 @Lou.

Yeah, I didn't even wanna touch it. That would've been the first thing I would've sampled if I hadn't heard Big Sean's joint. I don't like sampling shit other people sampled unless I can get something else out of it or it's an homage. Big Sean's track took the meat and potatoes out of that record.

Yeah that's actually the exact reason I avoided that sample. I recognized it immediately once I started listening to it. It was also used on the third part of Nipsey's Crenshaw outro
