What producer or beat maker would you compare your sound to if you had to?

right when you said that^

ahh damn

It's back to being standalone. Don't get it twisted I like using a computer too, but a MPC purpose should be to be used without one.

Yea I actually want one of these now, mainly for the work flow. Probably hella productive

Also it turns out the MPC Live can be used as an audio interface as well.

I had found a MPC 1000 used. I still might by it, but the MPC Live and X have peaked my interests, and I still want the Elektron Analog keys.

That's juicy J using that?

I'm surprised he messing with mashine.

Cuz He and Paul was rocking SP 1200 for all them old bangers they use to do...thoI heard the mashine have that sp1200 mode on it i heard it doesn't emulate it convincingly enough.

Yeah, it's a filter that lets you control the bitrate. It's actually pretty easy to do, all workstations have them I think. Me personally, I have this plugin called TAL Bitcrusher where I can change the bitrate by frequency. But yeah, none of them shits is fuckin with the SP.

Truth be told, you have a great starting point. Learn those and you'll be able to master anything. As much as I hate Macs, they're the best computers for music. Even bullshit programs like Garageband are both powerful and easy to use.

That's dope if it was me I'd just use the synth mainly as a sound module but would do my drums and sequencing on something else with emphasis on drums. And that all depend on what kind of drums you like. I would either use An MPC or SP 404 for drums hands down. The 404 is good with effects and live stuff too you could make all kinds of sounds convincing that with your synth you wouldn't need hardly anything else if you pimp

Yo anyone got an MPC 500 or a MPC 1000.I heard the MPC 500 is horrible to chop sample and the 1000 button get fucked up here and there.I rock the BOSS SP lol it´s old but I be sampling some hot shit and I learned a new way to chop it up that I would not if I had a good machine.I like to sample drum loop also I bet ya aint doing that huh lol.

I got the 1000 and the 303 and def wouldn't get rid of either. idk about the 500 except its even more portable than the 1000. But i bought my npc used so it needed the new pad upgrade anyway. Got it from mpcstuff. Shit is tight tho, no complaints here, even put JJOS 2XL. Im taking the 303 on a flight with me tomorrow. I'll be all in STL and NYC with it.

In Starbucks right now making it happen.
