this wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. i think it just had super high expectations because of the cast & ridley scott. but it's your average entertaining movie. nothing crazy groundbreaking but it was aiite.

enders game - don't know anything about the books, but I'll usually check anything sci fi out.have to say it was decent, aside from ender and the adults the other characters could have been fleshed out a lot more, but I guess that would have slowed the pace right down.ending caught me off guard, really it's where the story starts so if there's no plans for a sequel I might hunt the books down.there was a lot going on beneath the surface here which I'm guessing the books convey better.

Dallas buyers club - Mcconaughey is on fire right now, after watching this I'd have to put him first for that Oscar.Jared Leto killed it as well, played his role too convincegly didn't think at any point he was a dude.maybe acting like a bitch comes naturally to him....Jonah Hill provides some stiff competition for that supporting actor he's after, but I think he'll do it.

my housemate was completely oblivious to the aids epidemic, kind of film that starts some real conversations.

about to watch the counselor.

i don't usually like 'tough break' movies and this is no exception,it throws a few cliche's into the mix but quite ambiguously ....having said that, for a film with virtually no dialogue (like 3 lines at best) and one actor on screen the entire time it's pretty engrossing.

All down to Robert Redford, his performance is pretty majestic here...i couldn't imagine many other actors being able to pull this role off.should have at the very least got an oscar nom.

felt real sorry for the guy when the ship went down...felt like that was more of an actual home for him than just some random voyage he was on

Filth_Quad_Art-3.jpg

James McAvoy plays a coke sniffing, prostitute banging, scheming conniving cop trying to get a promotion by any means necessary.film is a trip...and i'm not sure in a good way either.

there's a scene where McAvoy get's raped by a female (is that even possible?) whilst having hallucinations....inc hitler....so he get's raped by Hitler.

sums it up in one sentence.

Will check it out due to it being from the guys that made Trainspotting.

Javier Bradem's characters stories were GOAT. Diaz fuckin the car and the two beheadings were the best parts of this movie.

other than that it was meh imo

yeah,career best performance I'd say.

this movie reminded me of bad lieutenant, but the depravity just got a bit too relentless towards the end for me.

I almost feel bad for enjoying it.

The Grey

Good movie and story ...hated the ending..8/10

I thought about making a thread on how disappointing the ending was.....that movie was one step(scene)away from being a classic,I remember everybody in the theatre was in disbelief when the screen went black.
You dont build a scene up like that and pull a SOPRANOS
....That scene could of been legendary.

Lol I usually come in here for movie recommendations. Ruined the hell out of "The Grey" for me... good thing I'm not the type to care about spoilers going into movies.

I just hated the fact that homeboy was like
fuck life after he made it that far

The very end was a given seeing how thst scene started

We're the millers.

I laughed throughout the movie. Its a good rental for a Saturday night to watch with someone. I wanna get high and watch it again. One dude had a pet whale which i found hilarious and Jennifer anniston didn't bore me as usual.

I never seen the movie "The Grey" but a co-worker seen it in the movies and they said after the credits ran it showed ole boy was still alive.

Been rewatching old Hammer horror movies for about a month now. Also saw Justice League: War, pretty entertaining; a lot more faithful to the story it adapted than I expected it to be.
