Checked out Casablanca for the first time, and its definitely a classic. Great story line and acting, I was entertained the whole way through despite it being made in the 40s.

SN: I wouldve left that bitch in casablanca

Watched the original Scarface. It was practically the same exact storyline, from tony killing his boss and stealing his girl to Tony being over protective of his sister. It definitely gets credit for being the original, but the palma/pacino version is much better.

damn! do you have a still picture version of your sig? I want to right click save it and add it to my collection.

Special ID. Without a doubt, the worst Donnie Yen movie I've ever seen. Predictable. Goffy characters. Undercover cops riding around in loud colored cars that follow them while they're on the job. Meh action. Whole package was garbage.

Continuum season 3. Lot more ups than downs. Two main characters all out of sorts. Friends one second, then hate the person like they let your fish die over the weekend the next. A little rushed with certain relationships. Telling/not telling people certain things - like the whole deal with the dead body. That said, finally having Kiera smarten up was great. Always loved how they'd flesh out characters by jumping to the original future. Plus, well anytime Travis/Garza mess people up is gold. Really enjoyed what they did with how they affected the future too. Instead of being a case where they could just kill a few CEOs and make everything better, it just turns out that.. bojangles, Burger King and IHOP would give all their people guns and and clan wars would start. Thought it closed out strong.

Caught up with Defiance season 2. Ehh. Feels like anybody that could be good decided to make a heel turn at some point. Pretty much left with Tommy being the only decent person. Kinda sad because they broke up the group and never really got back to that marshall/deputy role with him and Nolan. Do like that they're exploring the sci-fi side of things a lot more, but some of the other stuff just doesn't pull the rest of the weight. Tarr family are great villains, but then they drag everything down with the son and his wife storyline. Ex-governor character does a complete 180 in how she's been up to this point just has me scratching my head. Hoping it closes out strong though. Figure they went dark for ratings and I still like it. Don't want this or Continuum to get chopped early.

Watched a couple Korean flicks too since prime is about to expire. My Little Bride. Scandal Makers. Perfect Couple. Funny Neighbors. Petty Romance. Running Turtle. All were pretty good, but the last two were the best.

Say Anything...Had never seen this 1980s cult classic starring John Cusack and directed by Cameron Crowe. John Cusack plays Lloyd Dobler a lovable loser and aspiring kickboxer who falls in love with the out of his league high school valedictorian Diane Court much to the dismay of her criminal father. Didn't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would and it was pretty slow paced. Also the iconic scene of Lloyd holding the boombox outside of Diane's window wasn't as epic as I thought it would be. 6/10.

They added a bunch of Robin Williams movies on Netflix. Just watched this.

Need to catch this, really the only critically acclaimed Williams flick I haven't seen. Not to mention Jeff Bridges is a boss.

I was thinking about watching hook on Netflix before he passed.

i take back some of the things i said about the amazing spiderman 2 after watching the action scenes a second time. it was underwhelming only because of the way they set up the trailers to these movies nowadays. they give you so much you've seen all the good parts of the movie before you see the whole thing. also because of technology people are able to get close to the sets of films while they are being shot whip out their smartphones and take onset pics. i used to watch this youtubers channel 7 webheads he spoiled the shit out of it i had to unsubscribe he was giving away too much. there was no surprises when i saw it. another complaint was they did too much of that matrix slow down shit. the fight scene with electro was good though.

a side note I've noticed all the spider man movies he never used his spider sense except in the first spiderman movie from 2002. c'mon you see bad guys like the lizard getting the drop on him how could holly wood miss a detail like that.

If yall like Dark Comedies id definitely recommend this movie. Definitely some sad shit in it but some good humor and Williams and Bridges worked pretty well together. Crazy story haha.

(GRADE B) Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 ends with an unexpected Bang with the Space Adventure "Guardians of the Galaxy". Directed by James Gunn and starting Chris Platt, Zoe Salanda, David Bartista with voiceover from Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. It's about 5 unlikley misfits coming together after Star Lord (Chris Pratt) steals one of the famous infinity stones. I have to be honest, going in I was unsure if this would be good but it was pretty good. Felt like a side Star Wars adventure almost as if Han Solo had a solo film in an alternate universe. The Thanos Cameo was cool. Ronan wasn't that great of a villian to me. But the Guardians had great chemistry. The Effects were pretty good. Vin got a little annoying with his 3 word acting the whole movie, lol. Also there was some chessy parts and forced comedy including some dancing. The Soundtrack was dope though. Overall it was like Avengers Light meets Star Wars. But pretty good.

RIP ROBIN WILLIAMS. He was an amazing Actor who made me laugh since my childhood and brought joy through his art for 4 decades. I will be having a Robin Williams Film Orgy cause he has so many great performances. Thanks for the Memories Robin.

HEROES IN A HALF SHELL. TURTLE POWER. Ninja Turtles Film Orgy. Being an 80's Baby there were a certain set of popular cartoons. G.I. Joe, Transformers and He-Man to name a few. But there were these 4 green Ninja Turtles, A Rat and a Sexy Reporter that took 80's babies by storm. The Animated Series in the 80's is Legendary. Once the films came out it was Turtle mania. I decided to take a trip down Memory lane and Watch the original Trilogy before I saw the new Reboot:

(GRADE A ) Leo, Mikey, Raph and Don get the Live Action Treatment with Legendary Jim Henson in this Live action film adaptation of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles". It's basically an origin of the Turtles and how they came to be. It features a dark and gritty NYC in the late 80's/90's. I loved this movie when I was young as it came out when I was about 10 years old but watching older I love it more. It's actually a very solid film. It was pretty violent too for a kids movie. Of course Splinter, April and Casey Jones joined the fight with the Turtles. Old School New York looks so amazing and so different from now. The Shredder fight was Classic. Overall the movie has held up all these years later. Classic.

(GRADE B) After the original became a Blockbuster they rushed out the sequel a year later. "The Secret of the Ooze" literally picks up where the last film left off. It introduced some new characters also. This one had way more action but it was almost a comedy of shorts. The movie was funny as hell all the way up to the "Go Ninja Go" Vanilla Ice Concert. Basically the Turtles fight a new and improved Shredder in this one. "Honest Trailers" recently disected the film and said it was bad cause it was basically appealing to kids. I don't agree as that review was told through an Adults eyes. The movie hit all the right notes which is why it's a guilty pleasure for 80's and 90's babies. Very good sequel.

220px-TMNT_III_film.jpg

(GRADE C ) The last and final film of the Trilogy was "Ninja Turtles III: Turtles in Time". Not related to the game but uses a time travel plot that takes the Turtles back to Feudal Japan. I think the concept was actually good as the Turtles ended up fighting REAL Ninja's and Samurai's. The movie failed cause the delivery of that plot just wasn't good. The Humor didn't mix well in the Japanese setting. It's clearly the weakest film of the trilogy. And with them time traveling, None of the main Turtles Villians show up. It would of been better if one of their enemies traveled back with them. Overall again worst of the Trilogy.

(GRADE B ) The Ninja Turtles are Back on the Big Screen for the 1st time in Live Action in 21 years after "Turtles III". Legendary Blockbuster Director/Producer Michael Bay brings another 80's Cartoon Classic back to the Big Screen after his "Transformers" series is now one of the highest grossing franchises ever. This time no Jim Henson suits as the Turtles and Splinter are all done in CGI. Megan Fox takes on the title role as April. Despite all the Hate this movie received before a single shot was even showed. Michael Bay got the Job done. This was a very solid reboot. The Turtles personalities really shined through.

I love how each Turtle had a distinctive Look to match their personalities. Mike was the Surfer/party Dude. Leo was the strong Leader so he had like tribal sh!t on. Raphael had a different look. And Don had on all this computer science wiz stuff. They slightly altered the origin story to give April O'neil a bigger role. Megan Fox didn't do that bad, she basically carried the movie as the Lead but she obviously isn't the greatest actress. The action was off the chain. The Snow Mountain sequence was great. Also Shredder doesn't talk much but he's hard body. He gave the Turtles and Spilnter hell. The Plot and Acting from the human characters wasn't great but the movie got what it needed to get right. The Turtles were fantastic and this brought me back my childhood watching it. Can't wait for the sequel in 2 years.

So there you have it. As the Ninja Turtles celebrated their 30th Anniversary This year in 2014. It's amazing to look back and know I'm apart of the Ninja Turtles Generation. Cowabunga Forever Dudes, lol.

Watched another indie flick, this one called Chef and stars Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr., Oliver Platt, Dustin Hoffman, Sofia Vergara, Emjay Anthony, John Leguizamo, & Scarlett Johansson. It's about a chef at a nice restaurant (Favreau) who gets tired of his job but not his passion for cooking after a bad review from a food critic (Platt) and disagreements about the menu with the owner (Hoffman). So he takes his ex-wife's (Vergara)advice and starts a food truck where he is joined by his protege (Leguizamo) and son (Anthony). Very good film, I'd recommend it to anyone. 8.5/10.

Centurion, with Cunningham and Michael Fassbender in the lead.

Decent movie about a roman legion behind enemy lines in Brittain...being hunted down by the native Picts.

mannn, that part where Thax n Macros are running from the wolves and Thax fakes injury and cuts Macros legs was nasty af, happy Fassbender murked that mofo

Draft Day. Stars Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary, Chadwick Boseman, Arian Foster, Terry Crews, Puff Daddy, Chi McBride, and a gang of NFL related folks playing themselves (Jon Gruden, Chris Berman, Deion Sanders etc.) Kevin Costner plays Sonny Weaver Jr. GM of the struggling Cleveland Browns who fired his own dad as the coach the previous year only for him to die months later, he also has a child on the way with his girlfriend (Garner) who is despised by the family. Anyway he needs to have a good draft to save his job but screws it up royally early on forcing him to scramble to redeem himself. You can tell it's heavily endorsed by the NFL but I think that helped with it's authenticity which alot of sports films lack. I recommend it. 7/10.

Dan in Real Life starring Steve Carell, Dane Cook, Amy Ryan, and Emily Blunt, among others. After about 30 minutes I realized I had already seen this I guess it was just that unremarkable. It's definitely not bad or anything it's just your typical dramedy though it is pretty light on the laughs. 5/10.

Noah

(Spoiler alert)

Wtf was this bullshit? The rock monsters alone pretty much killed it for me. Then noah was portrayed as a crazy psychotic asshole who was actually going to murder his grandchildren because that's what God or "the Creator" wanted him to do smh. And then ol' dude (think his name was tubel-cain) hacked his way into the ark, was hiding out with Noah's son and they were eating the animals lmao. He actually bit the head off what appeared to be a baby alligator. Im thinking maybe this was meant to mock religion. Whatever the case it wasn't good. Thankfully i got it at redbox for $1.
