Jobs - 93/100....Sorkin writing championship dialogue as usual with a cast to match

Crimson Peak - 92/100...fuckin great movie with a creative twist, the trailer does this movie absolutely 0 justice

Sicario - 88/100...i think this one has the most back-to-back replay value, action and suspense with occasional shooting, watch out for the ending cuz out will cause a reaction

The Martian - 85/100 - Great movie but very predictable, still fun to sit through though

Jus finished this. His last stand up "new in town" was a classic. This one was kinda meh, but funny enuff.

Watched 2 films with Sharon Stone starring this week..

Fading Gigolo - also starring Woody Allen and John Turturro with the latter as a New York florist who also doubles as a male escort to middle aged women.

Stone still exposing the flesh with no fucks given. Was a decent comedy.

Casino - Las Vegas in the 70s/80s and it's ties to the Italian mob. There was a scene early on with an night aerial view of the Nevada desert covered in darkness then suddenly lights appear.. I was tripped!

In my lifetime there's no film director better than Martin Scorsese..

Had a fat female comedian night if you will haha. Watched Trainwreck and Spy. Enjoyed both but I thought Trainwreck would be a little less formulaic than it was, shit delved right into generic romantic-comedy mode in the last 30 minutes. John Cena was hilarious in it though. I thought Spy was better Rose Byrne and Jason Statham both killed their roles.

Bruh Sharon Stone was beautiful in Casino. That's one of my favorite movies of all time. She had some of the funniest lines with how she said things.

Ace Rothstein: Now you need approval from him to go home?

Ginger: So what? So who fucking blew you in the parking lot before you came in, huh?

Ace Rothstein: You make me sick, you fuck. Once a fuckin' hooker, always a hooker.

Ginger: Oh, fuck you! Fuck you, Sam Rothstein! Fuck you!

Ginger: You come down here right now! Get down here and talk to me, goddamn it! Don't fucking ignore me, you motherfucker! I mean it! You come down here right now! Get down here and talk to me, goddamn it! Fuck you! Goddamn you, come out here! I'm gonna drive your fucking car through the living room! You fucking coward! You motherfucker, you! Come out here and talk to me, you fucker!

Ace Rothstein: Will you stop it? You're drunk, you're on drugs.

Ginger: I am not!

Ace Rothstein: You're gonna be sorry if you don't stop it! The whole neighborhood...

Ginger: Don't you threaten me! Don't you threaten me! You are not threatening me anymore! You fuck! You fuck! I'm sick of you! I AM fucking Nicky Santoro! I am! He's my new sponsor! How about that, you fuckhead?

[the police pull up]

Ginger: What are you looking at? Fuck off!

@jee504 yeah she gave a brilliant performance there probably the best I've seen of her on screen

Her whole relationship with Rothstein and the downfall just gives credence to that saying: you can't make a ho a housewife.. .

Checking out The Karate Kid Part 2. Forgot how much I loved this one. The best one out the three. I like the location and Miyagi's back story.

Daniel was getting his ass beat at the end.

This not tournament this for real lol.

Speaking of I bought the special edition of this and the first one ..IMO the second one is where it should have ended ..he was pretty much fighting for his life as said by miyagi when he said this not tournament this is for real so it was stupid to go back to the tournament in the 3rd one ...but the first two are classic

Also got under siege special edition for 5bucks

I agree it should have ended at 2. Part 3 and The New Karate Kid are forgettable like a mofo.

Lean On Me

Based on the true story of Joe Louis Clark, a high school principal who came to an at-risk New Jersey high school to set things straight and clean up the school. In hopes of stopping the school from getting shut down, he has to get the school to have a higher passing score on the standardized tests. Movie stars Morgan Freeman, who takes an autocratic approach to running the school. He goes through some ups and downs, not only with the students but with his peers and himself. Crazy that this was based on a true story dayum. Great movie through and through. I give it 8/10

Serenity

If you followed that show Firefly this is a continuation of it. Absolutely amazing and well done. It's like Fifth Element meets Stargate. Good movie from beginning to end. I thought it was going to be garbage but it was really really good. Takes a good look at human relationships between a crew but the movie is about a totalitarian society that is trying to control the corners of the universe and so a rebel comes across a girl who may harbour the future of mankind on a genetic and psychic level. The totalitarian government aims to track down this young girl and all hell breaks loose. Really DOPE movie. I give it 7.8/10

Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story

Storyofdragon.JPG

Seen this so many times, it takes a look at the life of Bruce Lee but actually uses the angle that Bruce is running from a family curse versus the popular conspiracies. Great movie, really did a good job at capturing Bruce's character and even his wife who is played by the beautiful Lauren Holly. Good movie and makes you think, but not about how Bruce died but how he lived his life. You got to see all the obstacles he had to fight through, he almost didn't get his gym off the ground, he had to fight racism left and right - even in romance with his wife's parents, trying to break into Hollywood, losing it all then having to start over, balancing work with family, most movies make Bruce look like a god but this did a great job at humanizing the man. I give it a 9.5/10

Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom

Mandela_-_Long_Walk_to_Freedom_poster.jpg

This was well worth the 3 hours, I loved it. Idris captured Mandela beautifully I dont even think Denzel could have done it as well. Is it true that Mandela actually chose Idris for the role years prior ? Anyways, phenomenal movie and acting. It didn't make him out to be superman, you got to see him from his rise as a nobody to eventual president of South Africa. It captured a critical time in history, you got to see how an entire government and racism almost broke a man in mind, body and spirit. Most would have gone insane and/or given up but it was AMAZING to see the quality of Mandela's character and PATIENCE. Dude had a lot of quotables too. I loved it and thought it was great. I give it 10/10

Predator 2

I first watched this back in 94 and it used to scare me LOLOLOLOL, I've seen this movie about a million times but felt compelled to share it with yall. I think it's a classic, not as good as the original but even after all these years it's held up pretty well. Bill Paxton came a looong way in Hollywood good Lord. Danny Glover did the dayum thing too. It was dope to see him take a role like that. I love the movie and like how it incorporated a yatja in the streets of California amidst a drug war. Dope movie, mad quotables, the definition of an action-popcorn flick.

I'm in the minority but I enjoyed predator 2 more than the 1st one ...and not sure if u knew but the storyline for 2 came from the comics that had been running ...in the comics Arnold's character from the first (dutch) has disappeared and his brother a LA cop goes looking for him and that's where he encounters Gary busey character and the predator that's stalking the city ...it goes deeper explaining what dutch and his team went thru ..check it out
