What the hell did Lil Kim win a Grammy for?

"Lady Marmalade" with Christina, Pink and Mya. But she's been nominated over 5 times outside of that win:

"Not Tonight" (with Missy Elliott, Angie Martinez, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes & Da Brat) Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group Nominated

"Came Back for You" Grammy Award for Best Female Rap Solo Performance Nominated

"Can't Hold Us Down" (with Christina Aguilera) Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals Nominated

"Magic Stick" (with 50 Cent) Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group Nominated

"Let It Go" (with Keyshia Cole & Missy Elliott) Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Nominated

Here are NaS's nominations. He should of won one by now:

2000, Best Rap Album: I Am (Nominated)

1997, Best Rap Solo Performance: "If I Ruled the World" (Nominated)

Shocked he got nominated for "Slave and the Master" cause that was an album cut, so props to the Grammy's for acknowledging a song like that (They didn't give him the award though). Also "The Essence" with AZ was a good nod. How the hell did "Classic" lose? they could of given NaS, Rakim and KRS One a Grammy all in one swoop, SMH. Funny only the "One Mic" video was the only thing nominated from "STILLmatic". NaS got Zero Grammy Nods from "ILLmatic, NaStradamus, God's Son and Street's Disciple".

Damn @ drake only being in the 3-4 years and having almost as many noms as snoop and nas though. They've been in the game like 20 years.

Got damn completely forgot the Grammy's are tomorrow night.

SMH@ that Frank Ocean joint getting nominated for Record of the Year, but not Niggas in Paris. NIP ain't even get nominated for Song of the Year. Man fuck the grammy's

Wow @ Snoop Dogg, 14 Nominations and no Wins. I thought Snoop had atleast one. "Young, Wild and Free" is a fun song but I don't know if it can win a Grammy but Snoop, like NaS is long over due:

1994 "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" (with Dr. Dre) Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group Nominated

1995 "Gin and Juice" Best Rap Solo Performance Nominated

2004 "Beautiful" (featuring Pharrell & Charlie Wilson) Best Rap Song Nominated

Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Nominated

2005 "Drop It Like It's Hot" (featuring Pharrell) Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group Nominated

Best Rap Song Nominated

2006 "I Wanna Love You" (with Akon) Best Rap Sung/Collaboration Nominated

2009 "Sexual Eruption" Best Rap Solo Performance Nominated

Best Rap Song Nominated

2011 "Teenage Dream" (as featured artist) Album of the Year Nominated

"California Gurls" (with Katy Perry) Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals Nominated

2013 "Young, Wild & Free" (with Wiz Khalifa featuring Bruno Mars) Best Rap Song Pending

Looking at the categories.. I say 1 (best rap album) but the Roots dropped a good one too & white folks Love the Roots. Not looking good for Nas but hopefully he get it.

I've been doing some research.

Watch The throne album came out August 8, 2011

Niggas In Paris single released September 3, 2011

No Church In The Wild March 20, 2012

The eligibility period for this year's (2013) ceremony is Oct. 1, 2011, to Sept. 30, 2012.

Technically speaking "Niggas In Paris" shouldn't even be nominated.

Yea too bad the Grammy voters didn't realize that. Even then it still didn't really garner buzz like that until 2012. That shit is retarded either way

Actually it came out 9/13/11. But it wasn't submitted to mainstream radio until 11/8/2011 which is why it met the deadline. The same thing happen to that Goyte song, "Somebody that I use to know", it came out July 2011 but really didn't blow until the end of 2011 on radio, start of 2012. The Eligibility is about the current year. If the song takes off after that it can still be nominated the following year.

Being of Jewish heritage has it's privileges.

As soon as everyone realizes that's part of the reason he gets so much hype...

Same semen slurpers in here talkin bout "yeah, esco, this our year baby", "that boy Nasir def taking one back to QB, yippie", be the same ones to say accolades dont mean shit when u use it against them in favor of why Jay Z is the GOAT and better than Nas...sad.
