According to one of the interviews I read about the making of it, the name of the album was supposed to be "Killumanti" released under the name "Makaveli The Don" but DeathRow fucked up the name and the title after Pac died.

this album is full of black warrior music. straight up. i smoke blunts, think and cry to this album. Man Pac loved us niggas and all he wanted was to unite and enlighten us with this masterpiece. i don't condone smokin ganjah, but my first time hearing this whole album while gettin zooted, it fuckin blew my mind, i was spooked, ready 2 die almost hit me the same way, but Makaveli was on some other shit, it was mature, militant ridah music.

this album had some of the most craziest beats..shit gives you chills! Laced with awesome lyrics..
this was one of the albums that made me respect rappers.. or even listen to them. I analyzed blasphemy so many times.. I was young and this album gave me insight into life in general.. I couldn't relate to rappers but I can't help but empathize with his lyrics. That's what made PAC special.

Yes its a classic, but "me against the world" is my fav pac album. then Strickly 4 my.... then 2pacalypse now.
I can listen to those albums from front to back, without skipping anything.
