Just read he gonna be in the lineup Friday so j think I pulled him out to be cautious that night

i wouldnt stash freeman

he is looking at an early august return

by that time theres like 2 weeks left till the playoffs start and with the braves not playing for a wc spot i could see them hold him back even longer + wrist injuries just suck for hitters — he likely wont be back to his pre injury levels of strength until after the season is over — add in the fact that it will take some time to get his timing back and i dont think we will see the mvp caliber player until next year

if your record allows it i would definitely take a chance on him but marte is the smarter stash since hes eligible to come back from suspension mid july

id drop duda since he probably never gets off your bench anyway + he sits against lefties

i have bumgarner too

his original timetable was no sooner than early august but a couple weeks ago he threw from 60 feet — which was originally scheduled for a friday but was allowed to move up to tuesday — so now its looking like an early to mid july return is possible

i read right after the all star break as a possible timetable which would give him around 2 1/2 months of availability but you still have to keep in mind the giants are awful — a month from now they could be out of it — why rush your gem back for no reason — lots of innings in that shoulder and the possibility of a set back is for sure there — they are going to baby him regardless — probably keep him under a pitch count all year if they continue to play as they have been

a lot of uncertainty there

so if someone was offering me machado for bumgarner i would do it even though manny has got to be in the lead for first round bust of the year — this dude has been flat out terrible and no signs of life in mid june but theres no excuse for being this bad for this long considering his talent level — i believe he will right himself eventually

yet the rockies only have a 1 game division lead whereas the astros have an 11 game lead

teams in the n.l east and central are gonna have to win their division because both of the wildcards are coming from the n.l west this year

What's crazy is if the cubs played even close to their capabilities they'd be running away wit the nl central cuz the cards suck and been even more inconsistent than the cubs so far.

I feel like whoever wins the central will lose to the nl wc in 4 anyway
