Dombrowski has a history of trading away prospects or young players too.Kopech is the red sox #1 pitching prospect,Devers top 3 and plays 3b,benitendi young lf/rf who can hit,If they throw in bradley and maybe a lower level prospect that would be hard to pass up.Cuz you have the foundation right there,hahn just can't get super greedy cuz the red sox can hit up the rays for archer

hahn deserves blame for the state of the white sox but i also dont think ive seen what kind of GM he can be because hes micro managed by kenny and hindered financially -- its pretty tough to do your job when youre expected to contend every year with no farm system while not getting all the necessary financial support to finance a good mlb team
i honestly think the white sox would be in a different position than they are now if he was allowed the freedom to do his job (which seems to be the case now)
so im very interested to see how he moves

These are some big names being thrown around, which shows the team is ready to add some veteran players to their bevy of future stars and prospects.

Getting back to the Dodgers, they'd like to retain third baseman Justin Turner, but not at Pablo Sandoval contract numbers. They'd also like to bring back Rich Hill, but the lefty starter has stated he'd like to return to the East Coast if possible. This will probably be the offseason that Yasiel Puig is finally dealt, and they'll probably part ways with veterans Howie Kendrick and Chase Utley (even though the latter is Andrew Friedman's all-time favorite player). The Dodgers are also committed to either re-signing Jansen or landing Chapman.

The Cardinals are going to make an all-out play for center fielder Dexter Fowler, who they'd like to steal from the Cubs a year after the Cubs took both Jason Heyward and John Lackey from them. The Cards would then move Randal Grichuk to left field, where he's better suited defensively. The Cards are going to commit first base to Matt Carpenter, and they hope infield stability will help their defense improve next year after a year in which they had platoons at work all over the field due to injuries.

The Atlanta Braves were so encouraged by their play in the second half that they are hoping to contend before the expected time line. The Braves, who will open their new stadium in April, are committed to adding a proven starting pitcher and an impact defensive catcher this offseason and are a team to watch both in trades and via free agency. They don't like the contract of veteran Yankees catcher Brian McCann or the asking price for free agent Matt Wieters, so they might settle for former Astros catcher Jason Castro or the injured Wilson Ramos.

This will be an important offseason for the Marlins.

i dont think he would actually DH because teams are so risk averse
they baby pitchers with pitch counts so i dont see any club accepting the extra risk of injury if his stuff is THAT good
a guy like bumgarner is a pretty good hitter and could probably hold his own if given everyday ABs but hes not paid to hit
