oh baseball, how i have missed you

al east - blue jays

al west - astros

wc 1 - tigers

wc 2 - yankees

nl east - mets

nl central - cubs

nl west - giants

wc 1 - pirates

wc 2 - cardinals

theres a bunch of really good teams and a bunch of bad teams in the NL

not much in the middle (just like last year)

the marlins might be the only NL team to finish within 5 games +/- of .500 -- every other NL team is either really good or awful, i wouldnt be surprised to see the marlins jump the nats for 2nd place -- a healthy and productive outfield this year for them and fernandez and chen form a nice 1-2 punch at the top

capps was a huge loss for them though

the AL is looking very mediocre even again any of the 5 AL east teams could win the division and i could see 4 teams that could win the AL central

You're not buying the dbacks?

the NL is going to be very interesting

just like last year most teams are either going to be very good/excellent

cubs

dodgers

mets

cards

pirates

giants

dbacks

or absolutely horrible

reds

brewers

rockies

padres

braves

phillies

of course injuries and unexpected performances can change things but there could be some very good teams that dont make the playoffs this year and i got the dbacks as one of them

ive always hated how stupid the schedule is during the first week

like you wait all winter to get baseball back

it teases you with the opener

then leaves you feening for at least another 24 hours before you get another game

this year the white sox get 11 games in a row though

#1 to start and hopefully #1 to finish

Probably eleven Ls in a row

you know your franchise has sucked when the 25th anniversary of wrigley field getting lights is something to celebrate

other teams celebrate championships

all the cubs have is the sandberg game and the lights

heres to real memories

i have a feeling the cubs will start slowly

new fans will panic

but theyll recover in plenty of time to win the NL central going away

AJ Pollock gotta have elbow surgery after sliding head first into home plate. I don't understand why MLB still playing spring training games when the season is tomorrow and it's a chance for people to get hurt.

he broke the same elbow in 2010 and was having soreness issues with it in ST so it sounds like the elbow was simply prone to injury due to some pre existing condition

maybe now he can go in and actually fix the thing or maybe its going to be a condition that plagues him for the rest of his career

tough blow
