this laroche/white sox thing is weird

he was asked to limit the number of times his son was in the clubhouse so he retires instead

he probably took it personal because he knows what it is, hes not stupid, his teammates complained about shorty and kenny williams just taking the bullet since it just seems too random for the white sox to just change it after letting him last year and even thats weird because a kid has no business in an mlb clubhouse day to day

teenagers suck (especially other peoples teenagers)

white sox brass probably figured it would be a spring training thing and before they knew it, it was the dog days of summer and his son was still traveling with the team

He looks like a trump supporter

i bet he gets his social cues from donald trump

thats the first thought that popped into my head after seeing that picture

on the low its why hes retiring, chicago a little too liberal for him and his family -- he dont want to expose his child to the plight of our big metropolis and away from the plastic bubble he has him in

why is Chris Sale mad about it is what bothers me. who gives a shit Chris; get to work/be a professional

im thinking its just residual anger from that contract he signed that has him being paid way under market value

sale went to kenny when he was mad cooper and ventura were looking to make him a closer to protect his arm a few years back but now he mad because kenny is calling shots from up top

funny how that works

drama within another j r organization

no surprise to me that the city two reinsdorf teams seem to be the most directionless

just die

Crazy how both reindsdorf owned teams are the most incompetent teams in Chicago right now

the bulls thing feels like the white sox straddling the line between going for something and entering the wilderness and i think they prefer it that way

mix the young and old vets because you can always sell the semi contention with the possobility of growth

theres not a more fickle fan base on the planet than white sox fans so to go through a full rebuild for the them risks losing what is left of the fan base -- they have a hard enough time getting fans to show up when theyre winning i dont know what would happen if they went 3-4 years of having the worst record in baseball to build things from the ground up

but for the bulls it makes no sense because much like the cubs theyre gonna sell tickets regardless

I cant take the Red Sox seriously until they start reinvesting in young good starting pitching. Cant believe peoplek still think theyre gonna win at least 88 games cuz "they're The Red Sox". They need more than David Price.

i caught a game last weekend to see wilson contreras in action for the first time and he made a couple of throws that were amazing

throw to 2nd
http://m.cubs.mlb.com/chc/video/v553038583/chclad-contreras-delivers-a-perfect-strike-to-first

throw to 1st

and hes hitting .400 in 8 games with 0 strikeouts

he will be the opening day starting catcher for the cubs in 2017

Yea he official and is projected to be a way better catcher than schwarber.

If the nl don't get an dh Would you keep schwarber in left, platoon him wit contreras or trade him for sonny gray/chris archer/another young ace?

i think schwarber can be such an offensive force that he adds a lot of value even if hes a so so lf at best (which i think he will prove to be better than) -- he can be one of the most lethal bats in the game -- i was thinking those lineups on the days where schwarber catches are just going to be absolute hell on opposing pitchers but if this contreras guy is for real

THATS EVERY DAY

im not trading either of those guys in any package

lol i know you hoping to see vogelbach develop into a threatening mlb lefty bat for the purpose of acquiring another quality arm, not that hed be the centerpiece of a deal but a lefty power stick always has appeal

kris bryant going 'undercover' as a college transfer mid season

the funniest part was when the player asked bryant what year he was

kris responds 'sophomore'

because i know the thought of fighting for playing time for 3 more years against him was running through his mind

he asked 'freshman?, how old are you?' as an aside

he was shook

Not even for Gray or Archer?!?!?

I read contreras was untouchable and he's pretty much penciled in as the C of the future so he ain't getting traded no matter what.Vogelbach is like a baby schwarber(ironically they were roommates in the minors and everybody say they're twins/look alike). He's the main reason why I hope the NL gets that DH cuz he's a 1st basemen who is blocked by rizzo.I think vogelbach & canderlario will get traded eventually both have no where to play
