Cubs linked to all types of names.Just get some starters(trade or fa don't matter),a bullpen pitcher or 2(need a lefty bp pitcher) and some contact hitters.I'd be cool if they signed denard span and ben zobrist.Pipe dream would be Jason Heyward or David Price one of those 2.I think either castro or baez gonna get traded for a pitcher

I just read the astros traded mark appel to the phillies as part of the giles trade that's crazy duke was the #1 pick of the '13 draft and drafted before kris bryant, but he's struggled in the minors outside like half a season

as of right now the dodgers probably lost somewhere round 10-15 wins this year between what they lost and what the giants and dbacks gained

NL west could be like the central this season.Last year Dbacks offense was the best in baseball but their pitching was below average,Giants were in it until the cubs swept em in august and went on that winning streak then injuries destroyed their season.I don't know what moves the dodgers have in store,I highly doubt they'll just sit back and do nothin but the giants and dbacks have made moves and look real formidable on paper.Unlike the padres last winter both teams had some things going for them and added to their weaknesses.

word

the giants and dbacks definitely position themselves well for the three team race for the division

right now i got it giants >> dbacks > dodgers

if ryu can come back from his recent surgery it does offer the dodgers a lifeline as well if urias and or de leon come in pitching at an mlb level, that would definitely give them a boost but they gotta do something too

greinke has to regress some given how good he was last year especially now that he is moving from a pitchers park to a hitters park but i read leake is said to be willing to take significantly less money to play for the dbacks so thats interesting

the giants though, man -- they led the n.l in team BA while finishing 4th in the nl in team slugging, 4th in rbis and 5th in total runs all while their biggest hr/rbi threat missing 2/3 of the season, belt having concussion issues and panik being out the last two months and they also have the makings of a very solid pitching staff aided by the help of playing their home games in arguably the best pitching park in baseball while also having arguably the best pitching coach in baseball

i think the giants will be the cubs biggest threat (aside from having to live up to their own expectations)

cueto did struggle down the stretch but shit considering how crazy these baseball contracts have become he is a bargain for a 29 year old pitcher with a career 3.21 era and 1.16 whip

probably why he got an opt out after year 2

+ one of the best defenses in the NL.Yea the giants gonna be a problem. That's definitely the team that I was concerned about cuz they already have a real good squad and they added to it.They get cain back for a full season too it's gonna be an even year and they have vet/championship experience.I won't overlook frisco they'll be right there wit the cubs

2 of the following teams wont even make the wc game

giants

dodgers

dbacks

cards

cubs

pirates

most of those teams would probably be winners in one or two a.l divisions

i still have the cardinals being good because theyre always coming up with guys who fill the void once a significant player has left

lose pujols, no problem -- 4 straight playoff years and a pennant

lose wainwright for a whole season, still put up 100 wins

smh

very interested to see what the next course of action is for the cards

Hopefully Frazier don't leave his HR power in Cincinnati or hitting in general like all the other White Sox acquisitions do
