Cubs got a SQUAD!!!! Unfortunately soler might get traded to the indians for carrasco or salazar.I'd hate to lose soler but if the cubs get one of those Indians pitchers to add to arrieta, lester, lackey maannnn

The 3 things that got exposed in the nlcs the cubs lack of pitching, the defense and lack of contact hitting all addressed and I'm hearing there's a couple more moves

Great day to be a cubs fan.Future looking bright I expect to win at LEAST 3-4 World Series in the next 7 years

We doin it for all the cubs fans who passed away before seeing this team finally win it all.

i for one am glad the white sox didnt pay heyward all that money because he would just forget how to play baseball like every other position player the white sox get

look at this shit, he just signed last year

white sox: take adam laroche

pirates: no

white sox: oh cmon

pirates: nope

white sox: please

pirates: cant

white sox: i'll be your friend

pirates: no

white sox: i'll pay you

pirates: ha. but no

seems like every other big acquisition the last five or six years has fallen flat and in many cases been unbelievably awful

swisher

keppinger

rios (half the time)

dunn

teahen

kotsay

hudson

fukodome

lindstromk

youk

samardzija

cabrera

laroche

liriano

linebrink

all had halfway decent to excellent track records that went sour the instant they joined the white sox, sometimes disastrously so -- i know theres going to be misses and often times veteran signings carry a bit more risk but they dont seem to regress when they get here so much as fall off a goddamn cliff -- even guys that turned out briefly well tended to completely go off the deep end after a season (pierre, visquel)

david robertson has turned out pretty well (his era was over 7 the last two months though) but hitting on free agent relievers doesnt make a 70 something win team a contender

the narrative seems the same year after year and you cant chalk it up to bad luck anymore

wtf is going with this organization that keeps turning perfectly good ballplayers into some of the worst in the game -- if it were injuries i could understand but theres just no explanation for why this keeps happening

why do good players keep turning into minor leaguers around here

They can't even give that bum away, it's depressing to be a White Sox fan now. This suppose to be Reinsdorf's baby and he don't seem to be doing nothing with it

cubs going all in

AND

still built for the future

thats hard to do

if the cubs dont win a world series in the next decade with that talent THEN i will believe theyre cursed

I just put $$$$$ on cubs to win it all at 13/2 odds.

Put $$$ on KC at 12/1 odds.

My favorite time of the year is always the early release of the futures odds at the sportsbooks. Get in early while the odds are crazy. Then make the appropriate adjustments right before the 'offs start.

@its....JOHN B Boston is at 9/1. I will see where they are at by the all star break to make a decision on them.
