If the Clippers break up i hope Chris Paul wouldn't mind coming back to play with Anthony and Buddy, I'm getting tired of Jrue Holiday's reliability problems, and then this dude is still gonna want to get paid more than John Wall this offseason

I can pretty much guarantee you he not coming back to N.O. Lol @ jrue....I respect you taking care of your sick wife 100% but it's not like anyone expected you to be there for the start of the season anyways

To get everyone up to speed, the Cavs coaching staff, outside of Tyronn Lue and Larry Drew, remain without contracts. Their deals expired on July 1st, and at least a few worked during the Las Vegas Summer League without pay. According to Haynes, Phil Handy, Damon Jones, Jim Boylan, and James Posey are all without deals. On top of this, the Cavs exercised Larry Drew’s option for next year, but the deal was in place when Drew was the third or fourth assistant. He’s now the associate Head Coach.

All of this leads to Haynes’ characterization of the state of the talks in pretty dire terms. “Frustration is at its worst”, he says, and it’s “unbelievable” that a team coming off an NBA championship finds itself in this situation. He notes that the standoff has “reached the point of hostility”.

Lmao! They just won the fuckin championship...

joel embiid is absolutely massive -- i keep seeing pictures of him standing next to noel and next to jah and hes legitimately taller than either of those twos hair is and hes so damn broad -- okafor is like 275ish or something and he looks somewhat small next to embiid -- just a freak how this guy is built

im about as excited just to watch him on the court (if not more) as i am about quite possibly seeing the most explosive lineup ever assembled in basketball history in gs next season

on the low a good thing for the 76ers is the 2014 draft was garbage after wiggins and parker so far

it wasnt like they missed out on some elite talent because the immediate picks after embiid were the following

aaron gordon (i really dont know what to think about this guy)

dante exum (mediocre)

marcus smart (not bad but not great)

julius randle (undersized and missed an entire year with injury)

nik stauskas (traded already for nothing)

noah vonleh (traded already for another mediocre player)

elfrid payton (decent player but nothing special and cant shoot)

doug mcdermott (role player at best)

zach lavine (gerald green 2.0)

tj warren (who?)

adreian payne (traded already and sent to the d league)

jusuf nurkic (had a decent rookie year but struggled in his 2nd coming off knee surgery)

james young - (sent to the d league and might be a total bust)

tyler ennis - (traded already and sucks)

so on and so on

its a little early to really be making the call that 2014 was a terrible draft but considering that it was being billed at one point the best and deepest drafts ever its looking pretty shaky -- outside of jokic (who everybody missed out on) i dont see anyone i would be kicking myself over having drafted embiid over em and im still not sold on any of the players picked before him but year 3 is usually the most telling

by year 3 if youre not showing significant strides in your game each year you basically are what you are at that point

Yeah 2014 draft was way overhyped a few of us felt that way when it transpired a lot of guys ain't pass the eye test. I disagree about lavine being Gerald green 2.0 he has a chance to be ano explosive scorer. And TJ Warren is a quality wing player before he got hurt he showed flashes of being a reliable scorer

Thats y they not getting paid lol

gerald green 2.0 was just a lazy comp on my part lol i still dont fully know what lavine is in terms of position and player but he did finish off playing well (he was killing shit all of march) -- if he starts shooting shots where he doesnt fadeaway hed be even more efficient -- hes gonna be an interesting player to follow next season

aaorn gordon is the other prospect i like but that ibaka trade threw me for a loop

didnt understand trading for ibaka (with assumed plans to commit long term) -- gordon is likely their best prospect -- ibaka plays same position + his skills could make him super special at 4 -- versatile on both ends -- handles in transition, speed etc -- makes me think the magic just dont think gordon can be that good which would be a horrifically early assessment but thats just speculation on my part

an ibaka/gordon pairing would create amazing versatility but they got a crowded frontcourt

maybe the plan is to make him a 3 i dont know

Yeah aaron gordon gonna be a SF which I just don't agree with. I really thought vucevic woulda been on his way out but...I guess not

Rodney Hood and Niko Jokic are ballers and I'm intrigued by Saric but your spot on or the most part. Still too early to call it tho. I can see Exum and AG breaking out this year.
