This isn't. People always want to act like our major issues stop at external strife. They don't. We catch a lot of shit from the outside, but let's be real, as a community, our real problem is lack of unity. If we had the kind of unity that they had in the 60s now, we'd be a lot better off.

Perhaps. Alot of if and stiffing going on. How about these if's?

If, they didn't kill MLK, X, and Hampton

If, we didn't need Brown vs. the board of education

If, they didn't target Black liberation\community organizations

If, they didn't create the projects for Blacks (removing Black men from the home) while giving whites low income home loans to build their communities.

If, if.........if..

Who is they? How many of those things did the average white person implement? So what does any of that have to do with being able to empathize with a white 5 y/o being killed in a horrible tragedy.

You guys seem to think that country's white supremacist infrastructure = every single white person alive. It doesn't, and black people who don't understand that are as dumb as the white people who support it even to their own detriment.

Wrong. What is factually correct is, the majority of whites have\do support white supremacy whether directly or indirectly. The number of whites who don't is negligible thus,it's pointless bringing them up.

The problem is with you dudes the "support white supremacy indirectly" part comes down to them simply existing. What sense does it make to hate someone because of the consequences of things that may not even be in their control? What percentage of whites are out there actively opposing the progress and prosperity of blacks? You talking about facts, do you have numbers to support that? If not why are you so confident that the percentage is high enough to support blind hatred as being a reasonable stance to take?

The problem is you're lying.

1. whites have right to exist just like anyone else.

2. I don't hate anyone

3. A large of enough percentage that Blacks are still fighting an uphill battle to dispel myths and stereotypes. In addition to state\federal policy\laws that seem to affect Blacks more than whites.

4. Numbers aren't needed when whites continue to vote in droves for policy that adversely affects Blacks.

This incident and every other incident like it involving white murderous terrorist doesn't result in the criminality of whites. Whereas Blacks are burdened with lies, and misinformation which, has led to Blacks being made to be the face of violence and criminality. And that doesn't seem to be slowing down one bit.

This thread is about 30 murdered people, not your bullshit

You dont have statistics or any data to back this shit up.

Every thread ain't about what you think about white supremacy. If you don't care then bounce and call it a day.

So, because you "care" your opinion matters more. STFU and take your own advice, bounce this thread aint about your bleeding heart.

Whether I care or not is irrelevant. I'm not making this conversation about some shit its mot about.

My points stand as they relate to posters who have stated why they aren't taking the sympathetic approach. In addition to while there are 30 people dead there is also a story here about yet another white terrorists in america and america's refusal to not only put the proper label on these people but to go after them with same vigor they do POC. Perhaps if they did another mass shooting could be avoided and you bleeding hearts wouldn't need a threads to hold hands and sing..

lol You're claiming I'm lying but your points show you didn't even get what I was saying.

1) I never claimed that you said whites don't have the right to exist. I said in general when you guys claim they support white supremacy indirectly, it usually breaks down to them doing so by doing nothing more than existing.

2) I never claimed you did. I'm referring more to the people that are unable to empathize with the death of a child because of that child's race. That's the same kinda disgusting mindset we bash white racists for having.

3) That's true, now what does that have to do with acting like it's the fault of the average white person? How does that support the idea that it's ok to take this almost sociopathic stance with how we should deal with them?

4) Whites continue to vote in drove for policy that adversely affect themselves. Conflating the political stupidity of a lot of white people and their blatant gullibility and ease of manipulation with some blatant effort of theirs to destroy blacks is counterproductive.

I agree with you that blacks get it worse than whites and that shit isn't fair. I don't think anyone disputes that. However, treating every individual white person as if they are responsible for pushing the policy and using underhanded tactics to get that policy pushed through doesn't help anyone. Again, it's like everything else that comes from this ideology you guys support. It's counterproductive. If I'm wrong, give me even one example of this mindset leading to prosperity or progress for blacks.

1. You "dudes"? That would include me. Ahh...You did quote me. And again you're wrong. Indirectly, supporting white supremacy is whites that sit and do nothing, knowing damn well the shit they see is wrong. A few examples, whites that say they didn't own slaves but didn't say or do shit about it. whites playing dumb like they don't know why NFL players are kneeling so they side with white supremacists.

2. To not be able to understand why some would feel that way is amazing to me. Black children are always under attack in more ways then by the gun.

3. because, the average white person doesn't give a fuck either. They are mostly idle because, they are comfortable with things being in their favor. The idea is to not rock the boat. An example would be the majority of average white NFL players saying and doing nothing.

4.I agree here but what they are not voting for are things that will usurp them as the majority in every facet of american life. True equality.

What's counter productive is, whites that continue to support whites whether they are right or wrong, or because, they have some loyalty to a political party. Again my points are CONFIRMED by history past and present. whites are the majority and the majority HAS NOT worked to improve the lives of those that don't look like them. Our political gains have been because, of our own efforts. Despite the disgusting treatment we receive we always find a way to care about others to the point that via our fight others have benefited immensely.

You cannot expect every black person to be down with the "turn the other cheek" narrative. No one here has the right to tell the next black man or woman how they should feel or react to white folks dying. It's fucked up but a lot of us out here tired of the bullshit.

Everybody got tunnel vision when it comes to their points of view. I understand both sides of the argument and I won't knock either side. But don't knock me for not being as sympathetic about white kids getting gunned down when these white supremacists made jokes about Trayvon and Mike Brown etc getting killed and those were kids.

So no white people care when black kids die? That's what some of ya'll don't seem to get about my stance. I don't care that you have a "if it's fuck me, then it's fuck them" attitude. I know all whites aren't racist, but a lot of em are indifferent to what happens to other races. Michelle Alexander spoke on this racial indifference in The New Jim Crow and how damaging being "indifferent" has been. All we're saying is the outrage of kids dying should be the same across the board. A little girl getting shot in the head while she was sleeping on the couch should've got everybody heated regardless of race but we know that ain't what happened.

So to be clear,as there is no further confusion:

Had white people shown compassion, empathy and sympathy toward black children being violently gunned down and murdered

(some) black folks here would in turn, show compassion, empathy and sympathy when white children are violently gunned down and murdered?

That is the rationale being argued here, correct?

That's fine, but again, my point is ya'll are talking like there is some vast majority of whites that don't give a shit that black kids get gunned down. What basis do you have for believing that or, at the very least, believing that the average white is more apathetic to the shit that happens to black people than the average person in general is apathetic towards shit that doesn't concern them?

My nigga, you throwing random shit out like it's fact doesn't prove anything. And your simple logic is foolish and makes me wonder if you even live in this country. You may not believe the majority of whites care about black people, but I'm sure you believe they care about themselves. By your logic, that should be enough to stop them from sliding into poverty, but it isn't. They are getting fucked too. So shit isn't nearly as stupidly simplistic as you want it to be.

They don't. Most of them don't give a shit one way or the other. However, that is completely different from making them out to be these evil racists that are out to get black people.

And I don't disagree with the idea that shit should be the same across the board. I disagree with the idea that the majority of white people who hear a story like what happened with Boyd just shrug it off like it's nothing. They acknowledge the tragedy of it and then move on with the rest of their day. That's all anyone was suggesting be done with regards to a 5 y/o in this incident, and niggas are on here acting like that is something inconceivable.

The past 10 years has had an affect on all of us. Too many crying black mothers and fathers not getting justice for their murdered children has hardened a lot of hearts out here. So yea I believe if justice would have been served in a lot of those cases then there would be a little more sympathy in here.
