Thats how i rate rappers and ppl around me rate rappers.... Either ur nice or ur not... nothing in between... Doesnt matter where ur from honestly... And i dont have a Group mind of thinking i Just have lived in NYC and in Upstate so i can HONESTLY tell u how ppl act and think.... And arent we all talking about a "Group Mind" since ur putting the entire south into a category?

In what category? "Southern"? That's kinda silly Genstasia.

Let me ask you: If a rapper spit dope verses on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday mornings... and spit wack verses Mondays, Wednsdays, Fridays, and Saturday afternoons, would you call him dope or wack?

Depends how Wack and what u consider "Nice".... If he spit that Jay-Z Coporate Take over freestyle type quality then spit some Juelz Sanatana 2011 i would call him nice.... But if he spit Fab type quality then Gucci mane i would call him wack.....

What if he did both just at different times?

This shit is like a dysfunctional family. But it's still all good doe...

NYC and the greater North East is pops....Everybody else is children.

As a Great Lakes dude, I'm good with pops. The south argues with pops from time to time as well as certain aspects of the Midwest, i.e. st. Louis. But the West Coast were the only ones who really brought it to pops on some real shit.

This is the misconception. NYC is not "pops". If anything, it's eldest brother. "Pops" belongs to Jazz and Reggae.

Alright now we can get into some shit being that you're from Chicago and me? Detroit.

Pops is NYC & the Greater Northeast, aka Hip Hop Culture. Jazz is rooted in New Orleans and Reggae in Jamaica. Yes those elements converged in NYC as well as many otehers like Disco etc, but the genre is one of it's own.

Now Chicago and Detroit are BOTH DESCENDANT OF NEW ORLEANS BECAUSE REMEMBER, LOUISIANA ONCE ENCOMPASSED ALL OF THAT. That's why Chicago was founded by a Haitian and Detroit is French in origin. The same applies to St. Louis.

But you can't view all of New York as the father of Hip Hop culture because Islanders are the ones that started Hip Hop. Furthermore, New Yorkers didn't travel to the Midwest, South, or West to teach others what Hip Hop was about. The other regions started their own shit with their own sound. That's why I say the Eastcoast as a region is just an older brother, not father.

Wrong again. The kids on 106 & Park freestyle friday are wack. Hell Rell is wack. Lil Kim is wack. Fat Joe is average.

I can keep giving examples, but NY rap music isn't black and white good or bad. There is an in between: which is where Juelz Santana, Foxy Brown, Jim Jones, and Tony Yayo reside. They show glimmers of potential, but aren't consistent.

i dont think the bold are wack unless y'all hold some kind of different standard to ny rappers. i dont see what makes someone like young dro better than hell rell.

Bullshit. The 5 elements were created in NYC and the Greater North East. You trying to break rank. Why? I don't know.

The elements existed before Hip Hop and outside of the Eastcoast. It just took a movement to bring them all together. Stop trying to romanticize history.

Young Dro has an exceptional flow and ability with multi's. Hell Rell on the other hand is like nails on a chalkboard. My opinion at least.

Bullshit again. They were branded as elements of Hip Hop by the North East. Now you tryna jack the shit and add it on to what you want to do now, ol' grimey ass nigga. Why are you doing this?

Now I ain't against the South at all, but you, Soul Rattler as a Chicago dude understand the importance of rank. The same applies to Hip Hop Culture. Why are you trying to break it?

making good songs is subjective u may like young dro's music but the next man may like rell's music better, so try again.

rell has flow and is witty with the words and has dope punchlines.

btw i think both rell and dro are talented, and i dont see much of a difference talentwise between the two, but someone will tell me hell rell is wack then turn around and tell me dro is a lyricist.
