Ayo fuck both of these niggas
Why fuck Tariq tho? What has he done to have the black community turn on him? And that's a rhetorical question cuz I don't want a reason to hate him
All I ever see is him standing up for us. Crabs in a bucket if u ask me..
According to some people in this thread, you can't have a past, or make mistakes, shit or even just be young lol....
As a leader(what they called him not me) you must have no skeletons in your closet, you can't address threats, or even confront niggas who get super aggressive with females and super passive with males
Exactly
Malcolm X had a criminal record. He robbed and stole and did drugs and fucked white females
He's a coon too right @Muhannad ??
not the same..
leave Malcolm out of it.
even as a kid he knew the white man wasnt about shit..
he wouldnt have done no sucka shit like what was jus posted..
nah.. jus nah..
i dont even follow Tariq..
but based off of that?! nah.. i cant funk wit him. lol
doesnt mean he aint sayin some real shit..
talk to a drunk bum long enough and ull walk away wit some knowledge.. but he still a drunk bum.
Oh ok that's different huh lol
my nigga Malcolm wouldnt have played himself like that..
if u wanna talk about Malcolm and his character we can talk about it..
thats THREE times this nigga done played himself tho!!?
im off cuhz.. HE'S OUT!! lol
Even MLK fucked around on Coretta
My point is just that we shouldn't compare these guys to jesus because they'll fall short every time
We're all fallible. I appreciate the people that at least act like they give af
Lol.
But Obama is the quintessential punching bag ...
I guess If it weren't for all those times that he publically disparaged women...
- Or cheated on his wife
- Or acted criminally against his community
- Or embarrassed his race with White House scandals
Come to think of it ...
He never worked hard or did ANYTHING for black people.
Yeah. Nevermind.
Let's continue to blame him for all of our problems.
You're talking gibberish and you seem to be confusing yourself
What does your post have to do with mine?
Nah - not confused.
Just pointing out hypocrisy.
You implore us to "look over the faults" of figures in the black community and focus on their contributions ...
Because you know - they will always fall short if we "compare them to Jesus"
But you and others aggressively minimize and flat out ignore the contributions of Obama while magnifying his faults and manufacturing flaws in the absense of context.
But yeah - if you were implying that my comment was off topic, you are indeed correct.
I just find this shit interesting ...
*shrugs*
Y'all can continue defending your man's on the internet.
Obama's faults costed black people their lives. He WAS your leader and you niggas are too insecure to have a thread about him where he's criticized now. So yeah, folks can defend him like you do yours.
The bolded statement has emotional appeal, because it is based on emotion.
Horrible things happened WHILE Obama was President.
Did they happen BECAUSE of Obama?
You are pointing to a non existent link of causation.
Do you own a business or have you ever held positional authority over direct reports in your line of work?
Horrible things happened because the perpetrators of those horrible things were not punished. When Obama had that beer with that cop after his friend skip was discriminated against, that showed us everything we needed to know in hindsight. So when the government failed to protect its citizens from racist terrorist, Obama being at the top of that chair recieves the blame, along with everyone below him.
I'm not sure what the italics have to do with anything, but yes, I've been a foreman twice.
Him having that beer with a cop was a bitch move IMO
However, that action did not sentence people to death...
What it did was show his
insensitivity to the situation and a
lapse in his judgement.
I wonder if any other black person has exhibited he above traits at one point or another in their life ...
You claim that
"
Horrible things happened BECAUSE the
perpetrators of those horrible things were
NOT punished."
As if there is a DIRECT line of causality between the ACTIONS of the
President ... and the ACTIONS of
Independent citizens and
entire organizations of people.
I assume that you realize the multiple layers of decision-making and influence separating the entities at either end of that spectrum.
Obama is not a dictator.
You talk as though we can reduce the systemic phenomenon of police aggression in urban communities, mired with centuries of historical context; down to the simplest model of behavior.
Like he had a light switch ...
If the President flicks it on ... black people live.
If the President flicks it off ... black people die.
So simple.
Obama just "chose" the latter.
You
KNOW things are more complex than that.
You
KNOW that the systemic structures and racial conditions that have fueled this phenomenon have been cultivated for CENTURIES before Obama even took office.
You
KNOW that it is pretty absurd to expect these racial conditons, societal structures, and undesireable outcomes to completely stop with the stroke of a single action from the sitting President.
The truth is, Obama is just an outlet for your anger (anger which is well justified by the way).
Details and logic have been set aside to fully accommodate the emotion that we feel as a community.
The problem is that blaming Obama does nothing to move us closer to our goals.
Unfortunately the narrative of blame for Obama and the Democratic Party has helped elect a President and Adminstration that will make the fight we have ahead of us EVEN MORE difficult in the years to come.
