To be real, it ain't just hip-hop. Don't nobody want no fags nowhere

With the exception of Isaiah Washington, the actor who called a fellow actor a "faggot" on set a few years back and got blackballed ..

How many mainstream rappers you know have openly spoken against homosexuality in public or denounced homos?

That's what I was saying earlier today. My post got wacked, no/signed and misinterpreted but that's okay.

We've all probably listened to and liked music released by a gay entertainer/ rapper before. The Chronic is one of my fav albums. I remember when the gay rumors started, I remember when Eazy dissed him in that video with the pics and I remember when Pac called him gay on several oocasions. None of that made me like Dre less.

I think people need to grow up.

Lmao...So...If y'all had a gay relative...And they came to you talmbout hip hop, or telling you they wanted to be a rapper...What would y'all say?...No fruits allowed?

Oh no a rappers gay .. Does the sexuality of another man really affect you that much? Maybe you're on the low. Anyone secure about themselves honestly would not give a fuck and let the skills and artistry speak for itself period.

you know how im going to prove all thats bullshit? what if youre favorite entertainer was a necrophiliac or a child molester? a racist skinhead? would you be "insecure" if u stopped listening to them?

I dont take those things equate to someones sexuality.. I think what people are worried the most about is the content and imagery, so based on that i would disapprove. But if a gay rapper was on some Nas shit then Id be fine due to the content, but if hes talking specifically about what he dies with other men sexually then I wouldnt rock with it. Its all about the angles that rapper portrays himself in at the end of the day. Talk about some real shit that surpasses all race creed gender and sexuality im cool with, bring whats in your closet out of the closet ... I'll pass on that song and maybe even the whole artist if thats what his image is based off on im general.

I guess its more complicated then I originally thought.

it is cause theres a whole pathology to it.... i was watching some documentary ( i think "{beats rhyme and life?) and it was this gay vibe columnist talking about how homoerotic gangsta rap is. idk... the type of stuff i listen to i doubt theyd be gay..u never know tho. at the end of the day.. when somebody making some music they giving you either their mind and energy or the mentality and energy of or prescribed by those controlling their content... cause think about the paradox..if it was a secretly gay rapper it'd be worse than an openly gay one talking all that gay shit because he fails the emcee authenticity test...being a "studio hetero" lol...

luther didn't write his own music and if he did it was rare.

Hip Hop was a masculine expression born out of the issues that plagued the black community in the late 60's.

since gay rights and black peoples rights are now lumped up in the same category (which is asinine, imagine if people who smoked cigarettes where marginalized in some form due to the fact they smoke, that would be In line with what sometimes happens to gay people, but being black is related to a deep history, culture, art, of great people)

being gay like choosing to smoke cigarettes is a personal preference.

no way should that be lumped up with the black fight against white supremacy.

shame on a nigga.

I agree with the bolded. I didn't like it when that gay basketball player Jason Williams said some bullsh*t about discriminating gays is the same as discriminating blacks. Being attracted to who you're attracted to might not be a choice, BUT acting on it is. Gays can hide their sexuality whille us blacks can't. They need to stop comparing our struggle to theirs. It wild disrespectful.

i think people take the whole comparison to blacks the wrong way.. if I got a gay relative and he is hated and mistreated because of his sexual orientation and he was born that way then then he is being discriminated against wrongly my nig.... wrong is wrong I hear bitches rap about eating pussy all the time. If we on this fake moral high horse about gay then that shit wrong too. anyway I can care less because the reality is we done already listened to gay rappers.... Guru, Busta, Diddy, Kanye, they just hiding it. Now if the rappers started rappin about fuckin niggas all day then its a issue but if they rappin like they are now but come out the closet it is what it is.

Go ahead and break all your Goodie Mob CDs. The Gnarles Barkley and Cee-Lo Green joints too. If Kanye and Diddy are wearing "dresses" (kilts) then what is it his? A nightgown?

(Nh) by the way but this is how this nigga rolls B.

@bcotton5 ive said numerous times ive been a fan since BGz True Story and HBs Get it How U Live its just his transition threw the game and how he improved after the fallout and rapidly fell off plus yall Stanery makes everyone come off as a hater because we choose to be opinionated about the situation and choices he's made instead of staying in denial when hes clearly made many bad decisions
