Something to remember in this scene, Captain Marvel was a relatively inexperienced boy with superpowers. Superman, on the other hand had experience against hundreds of superpowered villians. Also, he was a little on the crazy side from the constant mindfucks at the hands of Luthor. So and amped up, experienced, borderline batshit Superman would beat a mildly pissed but still possbly restraining himself, inexperienced, Captain Marvel in this scenario. With experience, Capt would own Big Blue.

The occasions where Captain Marvel "beat" Superman were due to him catching Superman off guard and sucker punching him. Cap himself even stated in one instance that it was due to him getting lucky and Superman being vulnerable to magic.

Any other instance where they fought straight up has been largely inconclusive, since DC likes to sit on the fence regarding this issue.

As for fighting Icon, this has already been done, and Superman was proven to be the stronger of the two.

In a three way brawl, with no sucker punching or any other deus ex machinas involved, Superman will be the last one standing.
