Silence on the phone is very uncomfortable for me. When I'm getting to know a new guy, before we talk on the phone, I write a list of things to discuss just to curtail that awkwardness. Usually looks like this...

...and do most everything in an organized fashion. Most people contend that some of the things I do are unnecessary or 'OCD', but it's not like I'm wasting time or money, so what does it matter if my habits render me cleaner / neater than the average person, right? Right

I have several "weird" playlists on my iPod:

1) All video game music - Random Mario Bros (games), Double Dragon, My boy Mega Man (and X, of course), Tekken, some others...

2) Symphonic music - Me being a musician I need to keep that apart of me. I have stuff like "Salvation Is Created", "Moonlight Sonata" "Prelude and Fugue in D Minor"....composers like Mozart, Beethoven, Gustav Holst, John Williams (the GOAT movie composer), Hans Zimmer, etc...

3) My own creations. You see, I used to write music for my alma mater's marching band (Del State) during my undergrad years (grad c/o 2005), and later Lincoln University when I worked on their staff ('07-'10). I used a musical program called Finale (someone on this board should know what that is...and Sibelius). To date, I have over 150 arrangements, and I put the best ones (or my most favorite) on to mp3s, and burned them onto my Pod.

Anywho, all of these gets stink faces from people when they hear them, and an evil-ass chuckle from me, mostly because my entire library is played on random 95% of the time I listen to my iPod. (I love not knowing what song I'll hear next: from Nas, to Das EFX, to Jimi Hendrix, to Johnny Cash, to Adele, to Bobby McFerrin, to Alice Cooper, to Clapton, to Herbie Hancock, to Coltrane, to Lynard Skynard, to the speeches of Brother Malcolm X, to the artist Prince, to Roysopp, to Sade, to SWV, to Sex Bob-Omb, to Tower of Power, to Vanity 6, to Zapp, and everyone else in between.)
