Spinoff: JayZ or LL Cool J?

Jay-Z is the better MC. He's more lyrical and more charismatic. LL has more classic albums and made a bigger impact on the game. LL was like a nigga coming outta high school and jumping in the league and dominating.

For those that challenge LL's impact, I have three words I NEED LOVE, and let's not forget his prolific battle skills.

All that said, bar for bar Hov is the man. Album for album LL wins that one.

SMH @ these clowns trying to rewrite history, like LL didn't set the blueprint for most of these new school legends like Pac, Jay, Big etc.

... Like LL wouldn't do a joint for the ladies and turn around and do a street joint just to show dudes he was still on top commercially and lyrically.

...Like LL didn't hold his own against king lyricists like Canibus and KMD, while Jay falls short in every rap battle he enters (besides Prodigy).

Y'all probably think rap started with Big and Pac, huh?

Let's sum it up real quick. LL influenced dudes like Black Thought, Em, Nas and them, while Jay influenced Wayne, TI, Drake and them.... LL arguably beat Bis, KMD (to some), while Jay lost to Nas, DMX, Cam etc.

LL has multiple classics, while Jay has none (even though Vol1 is crazy dope).

Conclusion: LL wins in all 3 categories.

music wise I'll say jay but battle wise ...well...Nas and Canibus ate them both but since LL put up the better fight in his battle wit Bis (and I heard Jay and LL battled before outside a club in Jay's younger days and I heard uncle L gave him the Bizness and they aint never got along since) im giving LL the egde on wax as far as diss tracks. Jay's overated when it comes to dissing

Doing something FIRST doesnt make you better than anybody else. There isnt an LL record that comes CLOSE to RD, Blueprint, The Black Album. LMAO @ Jay losing to Nas or DMX....when the exact same argument can be used against LL with Bis.

LL's classics by consensus are Radio, Mama Said Knock You Out, Bigger and Deffer (I Need Love) followed by several solid albums via Panther, Mr. Smith etc.

I can't think of what Jay's could be. Black Album? Nah, it was solid though. Also he loses crazy points for not retiring forreal. Dude was trying way too hard to do his best Jordan impression. Blueprint? The beats were better than he was. Reasonable Doubt? Snooze fest. Vol 1? Maybe, but that's being generous, plus only real heads feel this album. Most of his (fairweather) fans for some reason don't like it.
