Canibus lost the battle the moment LL bitched him and told him change his verse on 4321......and he did.

Actually Can-i-bus went gold. Canibus had the better song, but no one thought LL could even make a decent come back song. And he did. But what killed Bus was his album which wasn't that bad, let people down. People thought he was the Messiah of hip hop. And when he put out less then critical acclaim, people lost faith and everything went down hill. And LL was there to rub it in.

actually it went gold,but people hate Bis so the album "Flop" is the narrative the public rocks with. The album wasn't

a critical success but selling gold for your debut is usually considered a commercial success.
