@damnkp, you might end up having to cut that drywall higher than that fam

my parents had about the same amount of flooding your place appears to have had and at first, thats where we cut the drywall b/c it was just above/below (i cant remember) the outlets, but when they started getting bids on repair work, everybody said that they needed to cut it to the length of a full sheet b/c they werent gonna be cutting strips to just repair those parts

If ya'll still got the people that cut that drywall out, keep em on standby just in case ya'll have to do the same thing b/c the contractors WILL charge for that. Any demo you can do on your own is gon pay huge dividends when the money to fix your home start coming in

Yea you're rt. We just cut right there to stop the mold from spreading..we had about 10 people from my church helping. One guy has a construction company. He said the same thing. I believe the sheets are like 4ft. I was just happy to get it done quickly and not have to pay. If the contractor I hire wants to charge more I'll just cut it myself.

Don't kill me y'all I only donated 500.00 lol its the end of the month....

U niggas is crazy let motherFuckers make videos, donate what they can...as long as ppl getting the help they need

I think the bolded is what is key.. which is why people should do their due diligence before just handing over money.. there are mad charities that seem to just take money and put the bare minimum into helping people that actually need it. Respect to any and all that have given tho no matter who you gave to

is kevin hart seriously givin shout outs cuz in what 2 days they reach 1million not sayin thats not gonna help but its like he doin it for attention now meanwhile dicaprio and sandra bullock gave 1 mil alone without a damn challenge or a video every 2 days even trump gave a million smh
https://www.instagram.com/p/BYcfpONBFWQ

Bruh i don't see anything wrong with his challenge.

thats whats wrong just give dont be making videos " i accept the challenge" jj watt up to 10 mil already if you gonna make it a challenge gotta give more then 25k all im sayin but good to see pence out there actually with the people

Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday offered up a playbook for President Donald Trump’s follow-up visit to hurricane-ravaged Texas this weekend, hugging storm victims, directly offering words of encouragement, and dripping sweat as he helped clear debris.

Pence — who is always cautious about upstaging the president — literally followed in Trump’s footsteps, flying with his wife to Corpus Christi, Texas, two days after the president and first lady Melania Trump had flown there and received updates from officials on the response effort to Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall late last Friday.

That's a pretty dumb caveat to apply to the act of giving/charity. Who cares if he makes a video about it. Bottom line is he's doing it.

Its not about how much, its about giving what you can. If everyone does that houston will be good in no time.

And fuck giving to any of these big organizations imo. I say find some local charities that do good work and donate to them directly

ig comments were goin crazy at anyone who was giving to redcross i read up little bit shits crazy i didnt know what to think then cnn had the guy whos running red cross on tv and all he asked for was money i was like fuk lol

My issue with celebrities giving is why not just give and shut the fuck up about it? No one needs to know about it and this challenge is just a dick measuring contest between them. Yea it's good that they're giving, but no one needs to suck your dick about it.

One man in Rosharon, Texas used a product he found online to protect his family’s home and property during flooding in 2016. The Aqua Dam contains plastic and fabric. Here’s how it works: 400 feet of fabric and plastic fill with water to create a 30-inch water barrier. The assembly did take some time, and many of Wagner’s neighbors weren’t impressed at first. “I was the crazy guy,” Wagner told KHOU. Everybody was kinda going by, laughing at me. But today they are really impressed with this AquaDam.” The product cost him $8,300, but it potentially saved him $150,000 in repairs

Who says they're asking for credit? Have you not seen the people going at certain celebrities who give w/o announcing what they do? Hell just a couple years ago Harry Belafonte publicly called out Jay Z for that very thing...giving in secret and not publicizing the things he does...then somebody dropped that he was the one behind a bunch of protesters being bailed out in Baltimore and people shut up.

Price gouging in Dallas ....sent to me by my friend who lives up there

@Kat I wonder if they will make the kids make up days ? Since the school won't receive funding if they aren't in attendance. And I don't see stupid ass Trump waiving that cause that would be doing the right thing

I did see all HISD students get 3 free meals a day for the school year

I had a teleconference with one of my clients in the DFW area. Both cats from that company were late to the meeting 'cause they said the lines to get gas around Dallas were long as shit and they both needed to fill up during their lunch hour (the meeting was right after lunch). Both of them said the price of gas shot up because the refineries down in Houston are closed and that's where their gas is coming from.

Other places are charging $2.30 a gallon

They already had the gas

No need to raise the price when we are already going thru so much.

OAG had over 700 complaints in the last week. It's horrible and folks need to be fined the $20k penalty to teach them a lesson

Exactly. Like some else said, or it may have been you, it's a lose lose situation for celebs. I'm grateful for every cent given..rich or not, that's their money and really they don't have to give shit. So thank you to everyone, from those that can only give their thoughts and prayers to those who give millions. It's all needed.
