"Niggas is still hatin ..Talking that “Nas done fell off with rhyming,
He'd rather floss with diamonds”
They pray please God, let him spit that uzi and the army lining
That shorty doowo rollin oowops in the park reclining"
Nas summed up the bullshit Jay has been stuck on for the past 5 years (besides his regular stunt rhymes) in a couple lines.
I don't need a 46 year old camel to tell me how to wear louey v boat shoes, that's what I read GQ magazine for. Like it has been said before... the music lacks soul. Jay compromised his art cause I can't believe truly in his heart he even believes that contemporary adult hip hop shit he spews. I don't hear PASSION for the art. I don't care to hear a new Reasonable Doubt, Vol. 2, BP, Black Album, but don't sit here and act like saying "Timberlands.. we off that" and "I have 10 #1 albums maybe now 11" over corny European techno beats is "contemporary adult". The Grammy's have always been corny. Rarely have they got any categories right, let alone Hip Hop with the exception of like Lauryn Hill, Outkast, and maybe Kanye here and there. But for Christ Sake, Carter III beat American Gangster, Paper Trails, Untitled, and The Cool. Stop it slime. The Grammy's have no bearing on my opinion.
To ME, Jay has been playing mind tricks on his avid listeners since like Vol. 2 or 3 lol... he made you believe all the shit that he said.
for me its the combination of what was posted and the avimakaveli4ever;2087595 said:^^

But if all this is true, Jay-Z does it effortlessly....thats the point ya missin with BP3........and anything after The Black album........
Its like an athlete that shits on the rest for fun, naturel abilty. Jordan. Retires out of bordom, comes back and still shits on the rest of them. Retires again but will always be respected. Thats what Jay does. Effortlessly.
Getting more grammys than Eminem after Em sold 3 milli+ and is white......Em had to go through rehab, done mad suspect shit, took nearly five years out, release a dud like Relapse, before he could come up with wack ass recovery.
Meanwhile Jay stay maintaining, bagging Bey, and still going plat with all his albums, post retirement. All done effortlessly. Like a naturel athlete

buttuh_b;2087774 said:Fuck outta here. Tomp is the og. I respect his posts and posting style. He has a lot of knowledge but I'm definitely not an alias. One of the first albums I ever purchased was Vol. 2 in '98. I grew up on Jay and everyone else. I just know the shit I'm talking about. All this GOAT talk and Hova da God bullshit is sickening. Of course no one is perfect. We just see all the holes in the Camel's armor. I refuse to be a sheep.
And did you not read my post?? FUCK HIS ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACCOLADES. Let's talk about the MUSIC and hoe moves.
DatNiggaB1;2087814 said:Why when there's a successful nigga, peeps cant praise his acheivments? instead we wanna talk about about his failures as a man? UMMMMMmmmmm........ ok. I'm done.
Again his music speaks for itself. Everyone aint gonna like it all the time. Still better than the rest. Hate it or love it. There aint another consistant nigga out there.
desertrain10;2088045 said:i really don't get the hate.... blue print had 2,3 wack tracks the rest were average/dope/ bangers. and thats saying a lot especially in this climate. *shrugs*
D.O.A., Already Home, Thank You, Real As It Gets, So Ambitious all dope
it wasn't the most substantive or street album and the production was a little spotty .... but to say it was garbage ...wow...
imo BP3>>>MDBTF which was taunted as a classic. lol
rapmastermind;2088152 said:Better than "MDBTF"?, I don't know. I'd give it 3.5, 4 at best. KanYe's last CD is 4.5 at the very mininum. But the bad tracks on here is why I think it gets a lot of hate. I mean "Haters" is unlistenable till this day. One of the worst songs I've heard from Jay or Ye in their whole careers.
Beware;2080444 said:i love this album, i cant believe the hate it gets!! one of his best!!
which grammys did it win?
rapmastermind;2087480 said:Yea but he had to use a movie to get back to that content on "American Gangster" and even then some criticized him for "being 40 with more drug tales". Then he tries to grow up with "Kindgom Come" and "BP3" and people call both of those album weak. It's a lose/lose for Jay, he can't make fans happy cause they want 1,000 Reasonable Doubts. NaS is in the same situation, fans still wanting more "ILLmatic". I'm not sayin "BP3" is one of Jay's best album cause obviously it's not but that doesn't mean it's a horrible or bad album. A lot of times fans overreact with Jay and anything he does.
