I don't want his old shit. His new shit just ain't good. Make something thats good. Nas switched his style and content up and he's still dope.

"Niggas is still hatin ..Talking that “Nas done fell off with rhyming,
He'd rather floss with diamonds”
They pray please God, let him spit that uzi and the army lining
That shorty doowo rollin oowops in the park reclining"

Nas summed up the bullshit Jay has been stuck on for the past 5 years (besides his regular stunt rhymes) in a couple lines.

I don't need a 46 year old camel to tell me how to wear louey v boat shoes, that's what I read GQ magazine for. Like it has been said before... the music lacks soul. Jay compromised his art cause I can't believe truly in his heart he even believes that contemporary adult hip hop shit he spews. I don't hear PASSION for the art. I don't care to hear a new Reasonable Doubt, Vol. 2, BP, Black Album, but don't sit here and act like saying "Timberlands.. we off that" and "I have 10 #1 albums maybe now 11" over corny European techno beats is "contemporary adult". The Grammy's have always been corny. Rarely have they got any categories right, let alone Hip Hop with the exception of like Lauryn Hill, Outkast, and maybe Kanye here and there. But for Christ Sake, Carter III beat American Gangster, Paper Trails, Untitled, and The Cool. Stop it slime. The Grammy's have no bearing on my opinion.

To ME, Jay has been playing mind tricks on his avid listeners since like Vol. 2 or 3 lol... he made you believe all the shit that he said.

I like this post......

But if all this is true, Jay-Z does it effortlessly....thats the point ya missin with BP3........and anything after The Black album........

Its like an athlete that shits on the rest for fun, naturel abilty. Jordan. Retires out of bordom, comes back and still shits on the rest of them. Retires again but will always be respected. Thats what Jay does. Effortlessly.

Getting more grammys than Eminem after Em sold 3 milli+ and is white......Em had to go through rehab, done mad suspect shit, took nearly five years out, release a dud like Relapse, before he could come up with wack ass recovery.

Meanwhile Jay stay maintaining, bagging Bey, and still going plat with all his albums, post retirement. All done effortlessly. Like a naturel athlete

Jay is weak but the whole game is weaker that's why he can breeze though he doesn't have any real competition in commercial hip hop.

I stop really being a fan after blueprint 3 . People say his records have changed but they really haven't. He talks about the same

shit pretty much and I have outgrown him at this point. I don't need a rapper to tell me what's trendy or cool especially one that

is about 17 years older than I am. He probably thinks that AARP cards and early bird specials are cool . I would have been content

with him retiring and staying retired. He is living off his legacy right now . That's the real reason he got all those grammy's

becauce of the success he has had over the years.

But I think Jay being a great businessman clouds people's judgment about his actual skills or music.

Exactly doggy. And they always wanna hit you with the "you must be unambitious and a loser if you can't relate to Jay". BUSINESS IS MY NICHE. I respect his business ability and like I said, he's been playing those minds games since the 90's. No one even thought Reasonable Doubt was a classic until he said it on Volume 2. He's been doing all those goofy basketball and Michael Jordan analogies since '99. He was just another good, witty rapper with better marketing techniques and knew how to make hit records.

But let's separate business from music. BP3 wouldn't have won all those Grammy's if it wasn't "Jay-Z" aka Beyonce's husband who his worth a couple hundred mill and has timed his albums right enough to make a string of #1's... bet ol pussy ass won't drop the same day as Em or Wayne. Gotta keep the "streak" intact. He is too tactical and strategic with his statistics for me. Maybe that's why him and Lebron are best friends. Lebron will hot potato the last shot of the game to Mario Chalmers or Eddie House in fear of his name being tarnished... while Kobe, on the other hand... could give a fuck about his field goal percentage and all that statistical bullshit but mastered the "art" part of the game and is fearless. Same whining ass Jay crying on Kanye's songs in 2010 as "Jigga held you down 6 summers..damn, where is the love?" from 2001. Your business savvy doesn't equate to artistic ability. I'm fucking tired of hearing Jay talk about his stats in interviews. You were able to adapt to the different climates but you never personally transcended the genre. Fuck a double entendre. The music is overrated.

Maybe theres a Tomp alias floatin'........to much knowledge for a real hater.

Meanwhile Jay-Z acheivements and accolades speak for themself.

You cant expect anyone to always be at there best. Not unless you yourself are always at your best. Perfect human being. If your are that man, please write a book so we can all have a better life.

Fuck outta here. Tomp is the og. I respect his posts and posting style. He has a lot of knowledge but I'm definitely not an alias. One of the first albums I ever purchased was Vol. 2 in '98. I grew up on Jay and everyone else. I just know the shit I'm talking about. All this GOAT talk and Hova da God bullshit is sickening. Of course no one is perfect. We just see all the holes in the Camel's armor. I refuse to be a sheep.

And did you not read my post?? FUCK HIS ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACCOLADES. Let's talk about the MUSIC and hoe moves.

Why when there's a successful nigga, peeps cant praise his acheivments? instead we wanna talk about about his failures as a man? Sounds like bitchassness to me. UMMMMMmmmmm........ ok. I'm done.

Again his music speaks for itself. Everyone aint gonna like it all the time. Still better than the rest. Hate it or love it. There aint another consistant nigga out there.

Because he uses those bullshit achievements as "evidence" that he's the best at making the art of hip hop, which is untrue. Sales and Grammy's are something he should be proud of himself for I guess but was it worth it to compromise your art?? Can we quit acting like Grammy's and sales are a valid indication of quality. I give him credit for being able to adjust to the times and follow trends/jump on backs and then try to spin it like you're a trend setter who is superior to your more talented colleagues and making the majority of your fortune off a popular urban clothing brand from the early 2000's as well as wifing a pop icon and taking Oprah to the projects. But I'm not gonna sit here and act like "A Star Was Born" is some of the hottest shit I've heard. Lol. I love music too much.

i really don't get the hate.... blue print had 2,3 wack tracks the rest were average/dope/ bangers. and thats saying a lot especially in this climate. *shrugs*

D.O.A., Already Home, Thank You, Real As It Gets, So Ambitious all dope

it wasn't the most substantive or street album and the production was a little spotty .... but to say it was garbage ...wow...

imo BP3>>>MDBTF which was taunted as a classic. lol

Better than "MDBTF"?, I don't know. I'd give it 3.5, 4 at best. KanYe's last CD is 4.5 at the very mininum. But the bad tracks on here is why I think it gets a lot of hate. I mean "Haters" is unlistenable till this day. One of the worst songs I've heard from Jay or Ye in their whole careers.

the best of BP3 >>>the best of MDBTF

thank you, already home, d.o.a., empire, so ambitious >>>>all of the lights, devil in a new dress, gorgeous, dark fantasy

oh and as far as haters goes, it was wack juice but..."haters"= "runaway"

production wise both albums had its highs and lows but lyrically, replay value, conceptually BP3>>>>

i love this album, i cant believe the hate it gets!! one of his best!!

which grammys did it win?

2 For "Run This Town"

1 for "D.O.A."

2 for "Empire State of Mind'`

1 for "One To The Next One"

=6 Total

Yet Eminem won best rap album for "Relapse" and "Recovery" over Jay. Interesting to say the least.

Yea but he had to use a movie to get back to that content on "American Gangster" and even then some criticized him for "being 40 with more drug tales". Then he tries to grow up with "Kindgom Come" and "BP3" and people call both of those album weak. It's a lose/lose for Jay, he can't make fans happy cause they want 1,000 Reasonable Doubts. NaS is in the same situation, fans still wanting more "ILLmatic". I'm not sayin "BP3" is one of Jay's best album cause obviously it's not but that doesn't mean it's a horrible or bad album. A lot of times fans overreact with Jay and anything he does.

Lol, that's what I'm saying. People ain't got nothing objective to criticize about this album. It's all bullshit complaints about what they want Jay to do or how they think Jay should make his music.
