we in the metrosexual era of hip hop bruh. you can't call niggas out no more without being blackballed by the industry. Also skill went out the window a long time ago lol. I'm mad j cole hasn't made an appearance yet. where the fuck french montanna come from? you got to have connections just to be on a publicized cypher now smh.

j.cole would actually bring some creditably to this watered down cypher....

yea, like i said in the previous post, this cypher proves to me that hiphop is not competitive anymore, which is a fucking shame. When you step into any cypher with real mcs, you should already know to come with your A game, because your credibility is on the line as a rapper. Hiphop right now is what football would be if you couldnt tackle and be aggressive anymore.....soft, non competitive and less entertaining.

lol what did you expect? wale is a good song maker, meek mill is wack, officer william roberts is a on trick pony. The only real hip hop artist on that label is pill.

i expected a little more from Meek Mill, Wale and Pill are the best on the label

smh @ a rapper having to start over 64 times in the cypher. This is what happens when our hiphop culture becomes so watered down and becomes non competitive. Who ever it was, i hope they get exposed and called out on it, if you wasnt ready for the cypher you shouldnt have went...

Thats what happens when FANS, these human beings become nothing but mindless drones

Used to be a time where if niggas know bout yo shit thats all u needed. Now you need labels and something for the radio to get notice. Dudes took this rap shit and ran it into the ground

If it went down the way Skillz say it went down then why not say names? What does Skillz really have to lose? I would think he has a solid following but will never be a "major" artist. Whoever it was I'm sure there was plenty of witnesses there, so they gonna have that cloud over them. Now if anybody will ever chose to pull that card will remain to be seen.....

yea these causal fans of hiphop who come and go as the wind blows fucks up the culture as well. They just want a hit single from a rapper, and dont really care if that rapper is lyrically nice as a mc, or can he put on a good show on stage. Standards are at a all time low in hiphop, when a rapper can get away with being in a cypher with other mcs and has to do 64 retakes just to do a 16, wtf part of the game is that?

alot of folk call drake a real spitter and real mc, smfh......rappers are lazy as hell now a days, not taking time to perfect there craft as a rapper/mc....

Idk what that drake shit was for, but you don't need to be able to freestyle in order to be a good rapper

i think he should have just called out who eva it was as well. I dont even know why he trying play the politics game in this situation, he is never going to be bigger status wise then he is now, so like u said, he has nothing to lose.

Was JUST about to argue his point. I'm by no means a Drake fan or anything like that but truth is you don't have to freestyle in order to be a good rapper. A rapper is someone who can write lyrics that rhyme, freestyle is coming up with lyrics right there on the spot and y'all can't expect everybody to do that or to do it good. Some artists need to write down their lyrics to really paint a picture and get a visual, some people might need to smoke weed, some rappers might not be able to come up with rhymes quickly etc. I've always thought that people put way too much emphasis on freestyles.

Bottom line can you rap good? Can you write a good song with some substance? Do you have a good catalogue? Who gives a fuck about a damn freestyle. Shit Nas is one of the GOAT's and he's not a good freestyler at all and almost always have pre-written shit, same thing with alot of our other favorites so it shouldn't be that important.

my point in posting it was to show that alot of todays rappers dont care about being the best mc/rapper anymore. Mcs/rappers took pride in wanting to be the best back in the day, most rappers today just want the money and could careless about if they can actually rip a 16 or not. The pride factor that use to be prevalent in hiphop doesnt exist in this day in time. Drake proves my point in that video because he was too fucking lazy as a rapper to actually memorize his own damn 16. Then on top of that, he knows hes being tapped doing this lazy shit, and still dont give a fuck smh.... You would get called out and have your rapper card revoked for doing this back in the day, basically your career as a rapper would be over.

^ Too bad he didnt rap it like he wrote it

Any rapper should atleast have a few shit they written, if they write their shit, they can spit when asked. Banks in this shit didn't freestyle off the dome totally on this

like i said in my previous post, i hear some people call drake one of the best rappers/ mcs of today. Naw, drake is a good song writer, but he should not be put in the best rapper/mcs category if you as a rapper cant kill a 16 live and on the spot.....
