its really no right or wrong answer. it depends on the parents and in some cases the age of the child. when I was locked up visits were hard. my wife had to come early as hell. she had to check in before 8 and then once they let her in we had to sit in the gym for 3 hours. the visitors didn't have freedom to say ok I gotta take the baby home cuz she is cranky or sleepy. add that it was a 1.5 hour travel in each direction and that is hard on an adult so its crazy hard on a child. young kids come and don't really comprehend where u are. fathers often tell their kids that they are at work or they have a different house for a lil while. older kids know and that might be a problem. u cant really question a 12 y.o. about homework and nigga know u aint gonna be home until they 22. they like shit im raising myself.
see i have problems with these excuses....you gotta keep it real with them. you there now is time for change an earning their trust. kids aint stupid..
an who would want their child to be on the bus for 1.5 hours in the het with other crazy families and bad ass kids.
I feel u but its hard to "keep it real" with a 3 y.o. for older kids its hard to earn trust if u never been around. I mean if u have a 12 y.o. and u been in and out for 10 years of their life. u aint earning trust in the box. u gotta come home and stay home and be there for the child.
perhaps in other states folks had to ride the bus together but my wife drove herself and parked in the parking lot. she was not forced to ride with anyone else. the problem was once she was inside she was inside for the duration.
