...Only reason tracks from RTD may get more love is because of the entertainment value, which doesn't prove that the beats on Illmatic sound more dated than RTD. That claim is venturing in the content category, not to mention more people are more familiar with songs from RTD than Illmatic's songs.

Nas might be a better artist, but I think Biggie was the better rapper. Listening to tracks like "Everyday Struggle", "Unbelievable", "Warning", "Party and Bullshit", this album is timeless. "Illmatic" sounds dated as fuck.

JokerzWyld;3125934 said:As much shit that people talk about Nas on this forum I really can't see how anyone can say that Illmatic was not classic status. Niggaz claim that Nas can't rap on hot beats - Illmatic had the best producers of the time contributing to it. People complain that Nas isn't keeping it street - Nas was knee-deep in hood life & content on Illmatic. His flow and content was on point. The only album of his that i think is better is It Was Written.

I wish Biggie would've stayed alive so everyone could see him fall the fuck off just like his protege JayZ. Then everyone would know for sure that dude wasn't messing with Nas on any level.
