if this was a REAL sermon to REAL church, it woulda turned into a heated debate...at the least

but it aint...this is an espn sponsored/administered sermon....so take it for what it is...everything that comes out his face has to go through an nfl filter, or he dont eat

wild thing is, we as blacks are mostly in his position. ...our providers place parameters on our actions and words

although i aint mad at it, calling him a coon is too simple.....the real truth is he is THEIR employee...jus like you....if u aint willing to scarafice you standard of living for this black thang dont pelt him for not being willing to do what you ain't. .....

and with that said , maybe this was jus a sloppy attempt to try to address us without placing himself at risk. ....maybe it wasnt though i dnt kno holmes..

Hold up blood, aint this nigga kill somebody?

Them athlete niggas retire, put them glasses on like they got half a brain cell left and get the cooning with the ferocity.

Lol well according to the story a fight broke out, somebody got stabbed, and all Ray Lewis did was simply hide/throw away clothes that had blood on them but from witness statements he wasn't the one who stabbed the person who died. He was just part of the fight

so the hundreds of people in jail that were "drivers" in drive bys that killed people should just went to jail for "reckless driving"?

in ray's defense, i think he just don't know any better.. he's a mad confident and passionate brother, so anything he's talking about he's going to sound he's an authority on the topic.....

black on black violence has been and always will be a problem... and if he's really going to start a program to get illegal guns off the streets in Baltimore and Chicago....or start a mentoring program, build some rec centers, or help with funding ongoing community outreach programs......i'm all for it and anyone would be an idiot to deny him the opportunity to help when his heart is obviously in the right place....

just don't try to shit on BLM to get your point across ray-ray.... cuz police brutality is just as big of a problem that deserves all the attention it's getting if not more....

check shyt... he does lots of shyt for the community...

honestly more than half the athletes in every major sport in America does some type of community service... its actually a requirement in most cases...

but you are right black on black... white on white... Hispanic on Hispanic crime will always be a problem... crime is partly due to proximity... if you are black and around blacks the higher chance a crime in that neighborhood would be done by a person of that color.. same with white... or any other color..

i went in on people on this on facebook, smh

What's your take?

straw man argument.

BLM only gets so much attention because they're addressing police brutality and there's tons of police supporters who are on the defensive....so it's going to be controversy....

they're trying to detract BLM from their by bringing up black on black violence,... when there's tons of groups who address community togetherness, and attack violence in black communities.... http://cureviolence.org/ is a really good one...

the reality of it is...outside the black community no one gives a fuck about black on black violence......so the only people who are screaming "but what about black on black violence" are showing their ignorance because they know nothing about the organizations that actually address it.....

white and black people are exposing themselves as those who give no fucks about the black community because they're trying to derail BLM from making a difference and are completely ignorant to the organizations that have already been addressing the issue they're trying fake interest in....

if you really feel black on black violence is as big or a bigger issue than police brutality, and it's not being addressed as much, then become an advocate towards black on black violence....get involved...there are plenty of organizations that you can rock with and support instead of trying to shame an organization that has done a good job in addressing the issue they are going after....

you don't flip out on your dentist for not fixing your bad back.....

Better than your , "can we all just get along" rendition.

That nigga is a coon. How many videos he got up about cops shooting unarmed black men and women? How many videos he got protesting the act of predatory lending to blacks? How many videos does he have up about the school to prison pipeline system? Howany videos does he have up about the police brutality in the state where he made all his fucking money? NONE!! Any black man that only addresses one part of the problem and not the entire goddamn problem is a boot licking sambo. Fuck ray lewis.
Yeah we can speak on it but what are we going to do about it???? we knew about this shit for well over a decade already and also no one forces people to do drugs and no one makes people shoot people.

"RAISING the minimum wage is a horrible idea for the whole nation. I don't give a fuck about how a politician feels about me all I care about is how I can use the system to better my situation... I mean you really thing the Clintons, or sanders give a fuck about you.

When I tell you we need to return to traditional values you don't listen instead you disrespect me for being an immigrant.
ZZombie makes the most sense to me out of what I see here. When you get down to it, politics is pretty irrelevant; it's up to the individual. Even bad parenting has a statute of limitations on how long you can blame them for your situation. Disadvantaged? Using traditional values, illiterate, illegal Mexicans prosper enough to send money back to Mexico.

A evil person with any system will do evil things, a good person with any system will do good things. Capitalism is just a tool to advance humanity whether who uses that vehicle. This is why I don't have issues with Socialism, Capitalism, and Communism. It's up to the people to use these vehicles, if people want to act a fool they will act a fool regardless.

Socialism and Communison are an inherently FLAWED system that bases it's premise off of humans doing not only the best for themselves but each other. Capitalism is at least honest about its complete lack of indifference in most cases

It's been said that capitalism is the exploitation of man by man, while communism is the opposite. I like to think of it this way: with communism, they pretend to pay us, and we pretend to work. With capitalism, we work just hard enough to not get fired, and they pay us just enough so we don't find work elsewhere.

The propagation of ideas, ideology and philosophy changes the world not just leading by example simply getting people to think and agree with you is the goal so that they in turn go out and spread the message.

Agreed. A good recent book on the subject is How The West Won. Incidentally, I've been trying to find the lyrics to a song in Chi-Raq, using quotes around the one line I could remember: "but it wasn't by a racist or a cop". I drew a blank. Can anyone help me out here?
