Tupac was a socio-political rapper. His music inspired people. In fact, he's one of my favorite entertainers and I have him in my top 10. But he wasn't the "revolutionary" that people claim he was. Fidel Castro was a revolutionary, he lead the Cuban people to overthrow the government and replaced it with a new government. That's what the word "revolutionary" means. It means you lead, or took part in a "revolution" which PAC didn't do.
Don't get mad at me, don't flag me, don't Nosign me, don't wack me. I'm simply going by the definition of the word "revolution" or "revolutionary".
Malcolm X gave a speech called Message to The Grassroots which you can find on YouTube. He defined the word "revolution" in that speech. Anybody that doesn't know what a revolution is, or what a revolutionary does should listen to that speech.
Making inspirational music doesn't make you a revolutionary, you have to lead a revolution.
Having said that, maybe Tupac's music will inspire somebody to lead a revolution.
