In order for any PERSONAL relationship i.e. friends, family, marriage to work BOTH\ALL parties must be willing to work it out. I don't think motives matter but in this case it's a simple matter. One person feels wronged, the other feels he did what he could. Problem is, we don't know the truth about any of it.
