Lift heavy but with strict form. If your form is off fuck it.

Learn the difference between isolation exercises and compound exersice (simply google it).

Dont diet. Learn to eat healthy period but allow yourself some treats just don't over do it.

Rest. Rest. Rest. You don't get big in the gym.

Plus what everyone else said. You got some good advice going on in here.

I will knock you the fuck out.

Man get the P90X. I plan on gettin it. I still hit the gym tho. It takes time tho. At 3 months you should start seeing some kinda results. How long are you in there?

An hour and a half at most. I usually hit the weights for about an hour, and do some aerobic exercise for 30 min

that's your problem right

classic case of over-training.

you not giving you body enough recovery time.

you don't grow muscles in the gym, but out of it.

how about you just pick a muscle group....say chest .

Hit it hard and heavy as you can , down a good protein shake

and don't work chest again in 3-4 days. Another cut out the extensive aerobic, you burning fat but also muscle

and getting plenty of rest plays a bigger part in growing muscle than given credit for as well

30 min = extensive?? say word.

i dont work the same muscles for an hour, i go the whole 9, biceps, triceps, back, lower body ... etc. i already said in first post that i only go 2-3 times a week, so i doubt its over training. my problem is diet.

I was skinny and decided to get chubby for size. Then I turned the fat into muscle by lifting heavy. Now I only do calisthenics because of the convenience (100 pull ups and 500 pushups 4 times a week). Eat a lot of high protein foods to put on good weight and develop a training regimen that works out your whole body.

you wanna build muscles some would agree it is.

but like I said, pick ONE muscle group a week and work the hell out of it.

People in here giving you info like you been doing this and aint just started lol. I'ma keep it short and simple. This is just the straight up natural way, no added shit(supplements). Being that you're in your early 20's you don't really need that strict diet shit(i didn't at your age) or a strict workout schedule.

1. Start out with a weight that you feel comfortable with. not too light and not too heavy.

2. lift like 2 to 3 times a week (like every 2 days in the week).

3. do like 3 sets of 10 (you can do it however you want but this it what I do).

4. go up 10lbs every month(or until that weight feels too easy)

You should see some results in 3 to 6 months. It depends on the person though because we all don't have the same body type or natural strength(I saw results in like 3 months). Also do some curls too(single or curling bar) right after you do your bench presses. You don't want to be that nigga with the wide shoulders, big chest and little arms lol!!!

You seem to want to get buff fast. So I suggest fucking with those lesser forms of steroids AKA SUPPLEMENTS. When I was in high school a lot of cats on the basketball and football team was fucking with this shit called creatine(don't know how it's spelled)

LOL WHERE'S THE WEIGHT ROOM?????

Idk how you have been lifting for 3 weeks and have no results. you can be doing it wrong and still see results. but listen, if you do 100 pushups every day for a week, were your stomach almost hits the floor, you will see results.

people over the age of 10 actually do pushups like that? im sure they can be some help as part of a complete regimen but I doubt doing just them will help anyone thats already hit puberty

Oh yeah, like some said already, STAY CONSISTENT!!. You will get to a point where you feel as if you got to workout lol. If you miss a day you are gonna start feeling sad about it and disappointed in yourself(I know I aint the only one).

eh....I'm just not a pushup lover because they put too much stress on my shoulders

but my bench is 315+

so you can see why i'm biased against it

I was all for it when I could do em lmao....but now I'm like FUCK A PUSHUP BITCH

edit: sry i'm drunk

Right, something as simple as doing push-ups/sit-ups to start off at home would help.I dont know why people call ducktales when someone tell you they've done 100 sit-ups 200 push up..thats very common if you're use to doing them 100 push ups is nothing.

I drink those whey protein shakes every other day and just keep my regular work out routine going i think im addicted to working out.lol

I've added salmon and baked chk salads to my diet

Form like Ether said is very important. I've seen cats that have been going to the gym I go to for years and still didn't do what I did in a year. My suggestion is 1 body part a day with with 10 minute cardio yo. If you hate cardio do core cardio. Go heavy like someone said. Make sure you have a leg day dead lifts squats etc. Leg days at the beginning of the week because it's a natural test boost that will carry you through the week. Switch up your work outs to confuse your body which is pretty much what P90X is about. Rest is important too. My major weak link I sleep about 3 hours at a time.

Since your skinny eat healthy still but don''t worry about eating dirty to much but keep it in check. Your post work out is important. There are weight gainers and carb heavy protein.

Long story short yo it's almost a part time gig and expensive with all the supplements and shit.

I have white flood and jacked for preworkout and whey protein shake for after working out but I never use the shit ever lol

That's like 200 wasted

You heard the rumor about jaked? They said it's going off the market because you test positive for meth. I was like WTF...

I like Amino Energy though.

Man I fucking HATE cardio...that shit irks the fuck out of me. Peanut butter is good to gain weight. My homeboy used to take a pro weight gainer shake before he went to bed. he put on 20 lbs in about a year and a half. I heard of a bodybuilder that put on 8 pounds of muscle in a month....I need his tips no steroids.

Have you heard of Havolar ? Shit works. My thing is always cutting but I've seen people put on from 8 to 20 lbs on a cycle yo.

Meth???

Seriously... wow

Thank god I don't use it often

Yeah that's the rumor of why they are taking it off the market. Thats what I heard from the manager at the gym.
