Mannix is pretty plugged in he's a studio analyst and I was hearing this this morning I didn't know it came from him though, but I thought the whole time the 2017 pick was the centerpiece of the whole deal and it was the additional pieces that was hanging it up, I want to trade for Jimmy but we could trade too much and I won't like it at all

I agree which is why I think june is more realistic but the bulls playing wit fire cuz if hayward bounces or bird decides to trade pg(both long shots) then the bulls lose leverage.If the bulls and celtics don't make a trade by thursday or on draft day it aint happening ever.

makes a run at heyward

if they miss theyll go for jimmy/pg

it would be great to have butler or to a lesser extent PG but considering he would likely have to empty the war chest to get them -- then i could see him thinking its best to just wait it out -- hayward + the 17 brooklyn pick is probably better than butler or PG (plus whatever assets he would have to give up - likely at least two of bradley, crowder, brown or smart)

let that brooklyn pick be 4 though and danny gonna have to come up off more than had he not waited

I don't want to give up Crowder either, that contract is too fucking good to give up, leads the team in +/-, he's a locker room presence and one of our better shooters, want him and Butler starting together, I can live with Smart because you're getting basically everything Smart gives you plus more with Butler, Smart is not untouchable to me, Bradley off the bench would be such an ideal situation, you get that for at least the rest of this year and next unless you can negotiate a deal next year and keep him around longer but I doubt that happens, he'll walk and get overpaid to be a starter somewhere else, Brown is the wild card, they love him hear and he's shown promise but me myself I wouldn't call him untouchable

Man moving crowder might be worth it for a player of butler's caliber, if this pick ends up #4 we're gonna be sick and with IT being mad if they draft another point guard I say fuck it let's close the deal. The Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls continue to discuss a Jimmy Butler trade.

"I think the Jimmy Butler stuff is real," said Aldridge. "They have been trying to get Jimmy Butler. He doesn't want to give up Jae Crowder. That's the main sticking point there and he doesn't want to give up Jae Crowder in a deal and that's the guy the Bulls are insisting on right now in any package for Butler.

Paxson just had a press conference.In a nutshell he basically said the bulls didn't trade jimmy because there was too much uncertainty in the return('17 nets pick slot)

When asked will the bulls build around jimmy he gave this weird non committal answer.Imo Boston will get jimmy this june after the draft order is established especially if it's top 3(which is what I always thought)
