Per the Boston Herald: “According to several sources here at the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, the Celtics are heavily involved, at least in terms of discussions, on a number of fronts as both a main participant and as a facilitator.”
Per the Boston Herald: “Danny Ainge has let it be known that he’s willing to talk about the Nets’ picks,” said one league executive, referencing the first-rounders owed by Brooklyn this year (in a swap of first-round positions between the Celts and Nets) and next (unencumbered). “But you want one of those guys, you have to be willing to give up a star.”
Per the Boston Herald: “The belief here is Ainge would, indeed, pull the trigger on a deal for a player such as Jimmy Butler or Paul George (should either become available) because such a talent would be his de facto free agent signing.”
Per the Boston Herald: “You can expect the Celts to keep an eye on Danilo Gallinari, a shooter they’ve tried to get in the past. Ainge has an NBA man-crush on Gallinari, who hasn’t been on the rumor radar, but that also was the case when Ainge went after Isaiah Thomas two years ago.”

I need more details, he doesn't fill a need right now and he has a player option coming up which probably means you're going to have to pay him big money to keep him so you didn't give up assets for a rental, plus Amir would have to go in that deal and Denver is last on defense for a reason he sucks on that side of the ball, unless we make other deals where we lose Bradley, Crowder and other players in the process we free up cap and can get him for some picks and the plan is to put him next to Jimmy then alright but I'm still not sure you can make it work, I'm out on Gallo

Honestly I'm expecting us to be "close" on deals but nothing happening, I refuse to get my hopes up but I want vucevic he'll help without having to give up much and he can stay long term

They might ask for Rozier again and maybe a little more than what they were looking for with Ibaka, which technically is a good deal but Rozier might have to be part of a bigger deal down the line for Jimmy, either that or other backcourt players like Avery and possibly someone else will have to be part of the deal so giving up Rozier would make us extremely thin although I think you could replace his production in free agency, I think we go get Wily Cauly Stein or some shit
