I'd make a move for butler but one of our young guys has to stay, I wanna see jaylen develop but if butler is available I say make it happen. I don't even know how it'll work salary wise either

We're 7-0 since we've put jaylen at the 2. He's looked more comfortable driving, and shooting with the starters because they'll look to get him involved more. This might sound wild but I'd wanna keep him with the starters when Avery comes back to give the bench a consistent scorer. If we can get a floor spacing big upgrade over amir that would open more driving lanes for jaylen who has one of the best first steps I've seen. He should be untouchable because I'm excited about his future

That's 10 out of 11 smart has played much better recently avg 14,5,5 on 50% over the past week with Avery's injury history I think he's the odd man out once we draft either ball or fultz

I think that pick is gone personally but I got no problem drafting, although I've heard he's had soreness I wonder if the real reason they are keeping AB out so long is because he's as good as gone at the deadline? All I know is Toronto made a major move and we need to counter if we want to make it out the 2nd round

Damn woj is plugged in, I don't wanna get my hopes up cuz Ainge has the reputation to over value assets, I'd rather shore up our rebounding issues but if Jimmy is available I wouldn't be mad if we struck a deal a 2nd scorer is needed too

I doubt anything happens this week unless ainge wants to cash in right now.Knowing his history not likely june is when I think it could happen

but if you listened to ainges interview the other day he basically said he'll trade the nets pick for the right player it won't be a rental and someone who helps long term. The c's don't want to compromise their cap space unless it's jimmy, hayward or george. the '17 nets pick, bradley and either one of smart/brown will probably get it done(I'd push for the grizz pick too).Bradley is probably gonna be the odd man out.

Yeah Avery definitely is plus with making $8 mil it would be easier to move him then smart contract wise. I think we have the tools to get it done. Seems like garpax is unsure if they wanna move him so like you said I'd expect an offseason move when we find out what the pick is. Bird is too smart to get swindled by ainge in a deal so although he's frustrated I don't see a Paul George deal happening either (not a fan of his passive play at times too)

Per the Boston Herald: “According to several sources here at the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, the Celtics are heavily involved, at least in terms of discussions, on a number of fronts as both a main participant and as a facilitator.”

Per the Boston Herald: “Danny Ainge has let it be known that he’s willing to talk about the Nets’ picks,” said one league executive, referencing the first-rounders owed by Brooklyn this year (in a swap of first-round positions between the Celts and Nets) and next (unencumbered). “But you want one of those guys, you have to be willing to give up a star.”

Per the Boston Herald: “The belief here is Ainge would, indeed, pull the trigger on a deal for a player such as Jimmy Butler or Paul George (should either become available) because such a talent would be his de facto free agent signing.”

Per the Boston Herald: “You can expect the Celts to keep an eye on Danilo Gallinari, a shooter they’ve tried to get in the past. Ainge has an NBA man-crush on Gallinari, who hasn’t been on the rumor radar, but that also was the case when Ainge went after Isaiah Thomas two years ago.”

more rumors

I think Chicago should make it happen now, I understand waiting to see where the pick lands before trading your star but that's dicey because if we land the first pick then George, Hayward and who knows whoelse might become available and Bulls could lose traction if Jimmy isn't Ainge's first option, and if I'm Ainge I move it so you don't run the risk of losing the first pick in the lottery and now you lose leverage and maybe even lose a deal completely, I think something could get done too

If the Bulls are serious about landing Okafor how come I never hear Lopez' name and only Taj' name in rumors? I'd much rather Lopez than Taj

I'd accept a deal for Gallo but his injury history worries me as long as he doesn't require the Nets pick (which he shouldn't ) I'd be with it I think if healthy Gallo will fit in great with brad's system

I need more details, he doesn't fill a need right now and he has a player option coming up which probably means you're going to have to pay him big money to keep him so you didn't give up assets for a rental, plus Amir would have to go in that deal and Denver is last on defense for a reason he sucks on that side of the ball, unless we make other deals where we lose Bradley, Crowder and other players in the process we free up cap and can get him for some picks and the plan is to put him next to Jimmy then alright but I'm still not sure you can make it work, I'm out on Gallo

They were never serious about landing okafor.Bulls beat writer said days ago bulls weren't really interested

This makes sense but I personally think ainge will try to sign hayward in free agency outright(because of stevens he can get an idea if hayward will go to boston without tampering), then trade for jimmy butler or vice versa. That's his ultimate goal and until the bulls fully commit to rebuilding we have to wait and see.As long as the nets have the worst record in the league the nets pick will be 1-4 but they have to see where it lands, top 3 means a deal will happen but it could end up 4th which changes things. This present bulls team mad inconsistent and I still think they could beat a few east teams in a series which is why I doubt anything happens this week unless the bulls get blown away with an offer and that's not how ainge gets down. Also ainge may not think jimmy alone makes them better than the cavs or warriors this season.

Honestly I'm expecting us to be "close" on deals but nothing happening, I refuse to get my hopes up but I want vucevic he'll help without having to give up much and he can stay long term

They might ask for Rozier again and maybe a little more than what they were looking for with Ibaka, which technically is a good deal but Rozier might have to be part of a bigger deal down the line for Jimmy, either that or other backcourt players like Avery and possibly someone else will have to be part of the deal so giving up Rozier would make us extremely thin although I think you could replace his production in free agency, I think we go get Wily Cauly Stein or some shit

I'm wiling to let rozier go if he's the centerpiece of the deal. We have Demetrius Jackson who I think can fill in the production short term rozier has been kinda disappointing

I wouldn't be mad at that I just don't know if he's available now that they traded Ibaka and he isn't exactly the rim protector Ainge said he wanted but he's improved defensively, Noel would be my first choice

Noel is a free agent after this year I'm not trynna max him out, 1 overpaid big man is enough we still got 3 players we gotta pay IT, smart and KO if he stays at this level he'll help but not at the price he wants

I'm reading multiple sites and boston fans saying butler isn't worth a top 3 pick which is ridiculous.Deron williams and kevin love both got top 3 picks and neither were as good as butler at the time they were traded,d will was a system player and love was one dimensional.

Jimmy a dog I think duke getting undervalued by bos fans his impact on defense alone will make a major difference cuz he can guard 1-3's.Bulls a top 8 defensive team when jimmy is on the floor

Lil zeke a defensive liability, imagine having this cat out there closing games.I think jimmy on boston makes them even with the cavs.Cleveland is not as dominant as miami they just better than the rest of these fugazi east teams.
