Jaylen's 3 point range is coming around fast, what if we have Fultz and Brown are running the second team next year, nobody has ever been in a position that we are in now so nobody can tell us what can or can't work, we have a great young core, a guaranteed top 4 pick and cap space for another max deal plus players people raving about overseas, but we are supposed to give it all up for one player that "might" get us into the finals only to get stomped out by Golden state and only really have a 4 year window instead of setting ourselves up for the next 10-15 years? People are calling for Ainge's head but outside of some misses in the draft over the years I don't think you can run a franchise as good as he has, teams been rebuilding for 5-10 years we started the rebuild 3 years ago and we are the two seed right now, you can't do better than that

I got clowned for it but I see something special in jaylen yesterday we shoulda ran more plays for him. His finishing around the basket and 3 point range are both improving. I read if zizic came out this year he'd be the 9th pick. I still wish he was over here instead of zeller and amir. I just want us to win a playoff series or 2 and I hope we get T Jones we need another big jerebko was atrocious last night

Zeller is useless and on the books for 8 million next year, Amir is average but he fits what they are trying to do and a locker room presence and he was one of 3 players that showed up in the playoffs last year when everyone else shit themselves so I don't forget that, he comes off the books I don't think he's getting paid anywhere else so hopefully we get him back on a minuscule deal to come off the bench unless we trade or sign a big, you need more than one center on the squad and I heard Zizic is dominating a bunch of 6'5 white guys I need to see what he can do in the NBA before I'm sold he's starting material, Jerebko hates that mask and he can't play with it

I think Josh Jackson might be the guy they have their sites on and not Fultz, it wouldn't surprise me if they got the first pick and chose him over Fultz, I'm reading about him and watching highlights a small ball power forward at 6'8 the best athlete in the nation with a high iq, can pass, can finish, and he's a good defender no wing 6'6 or up taken in the top 10 the past 5 years has blocked shots or stole the ball at a rate higher than he has, the biggest reason he isn't projected 1st overall is he doesn't have a crazy wing span at his size which I could give a fuck about, and he's not shooting the ball great but I don't think it's due to a broken jumper but more of a confidence issue he's even admitted, I don't think that pick is first or bust for us because I think they are perfectly fine drafting and I don't think Fultz is the clear cut first choice

And that article I got that from he was shooting 25% from 3 at the time, he's up to 36% and hit two last night, I'll be tuned in from here on out, Fultz plays tonight

Jackson can play but getting him would be kinda redundant with Jaylen here, I'd be comfortable with fultz ball or smith jr. I'm not comfortable using the number 1 pick on Jackson but his skill set is the type that ainge like

You can say the same for Fultz with IT and Smart on the roster and that's assuming Avery is the odd man out but even if he is Jaylen found his place at the 2, Jackson is more of a front court player like Ben Simmons

I do like jaylen at the 2 once he improves his handle and defense. So if we draft Jackson I'm assuming that makes Jae expendable. I feel like fultz is the can't miss prospect the most. I also like Malik monk as a dark horse

The Cleveland Cavaliers were monitoring the Boston Celtics efforts to acquire either Paul George or Jimmy Butler at the deadline.

The Celtics are already a top contender in the Eastern Conference, but acquiring either of those star wings would make them even more competitive in a series against the Cavaliers. Both George and Butler have played LeBron James well in the playoffs.

"The Cavs were on pins and needles yesterday about the Celtics getting Paul George or Jimmy Butler," said Windhorst on Zach Lowe's podcast. "Pins and needles. That's why I'm saying. Let's put it this way: if on day one next year it's Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, and Isaiah Thomas, the Cavs will be like 'okay, that's going to be a challenge.' If it's Isaiah Thomas, Al Horford and Jimmy Butler, the Cavs might be out there saying 'we may have to trade Kevin Love.'"

The Celtics were weighing whether to package a combination of draft assets and existing players in a deal. Danny Ainge can revisit those talks in June.

I don't know if this is hyperbole but this is funny

Hahaaa got them nervous, but Ainge did the right thing you trade now you take one step forward two steps back, you lose the pick, core players especially in that Bird deal and you lose cap this summer, signing Hayward would almost feel like the day we traded for KG because I feel like it's so unlikely but it's being talked about like a real possibility and that would change everything, although with Hayward I think George would be a better fit but I think we trade for Jimmy barring the pick lands on 4, he's locked up till 19 on a great deal where George has an option in 18 and there's no guarantee he's comes back, plus I believe Chicago wants that first pick more and is more willing to deal, with Hayward I'm willing to send Crowder and Avery that way, y'all could potentially have Fultz/Avery/Crowder that's a quick rebuild right there, we keep Smart and Brown, pay IT I don't think it will be 30 I think we work out some type of discount

Jimmy and Al come off the books at the same time, we can probably grab a big that summer, Jaylen will be up to get paid and keep Jimmy and who even knows if the 18 pick will be involved, we could still have a top 5 pick next year

Don't have the exact stats on me but since the all star break jaylen has averaged close to 12 & 5 on over 50% shooting and above 35% from 3. He's been consistently in double figures for about a week straight, twitter is talking about him cutting into jae's minutes I'm not sure about that but he hasn't played over 30 minutes 1 time he's producing at a high level on both ends and should be rewarded with more playing time and he should have more plays drawn up for him

I really think they are going to have a hard time giving up on Avery, like it's easy for fans to break it down to Avery being the odd man out but I don't think that's what Ainge, Stevens or the players mentality is, we have a tight knit core group of players and Avery is the centerpiece of that, I'm still leaning on a blockbuster happening but it is not imminent, I think the playoffs will be a telling tale of what happens this offseason, disappointing ending we are making a splash but if we are on the brink of making the finals I think they take care of IT and Avery, drafting who they like and bringing over Zizic and Yabu, Jerebko walks, trade Zeller for peanuts, go into next season looking like this

Amir

Al

Jae

AB

IT

Smart

Jaylen

KO

Josh Jackson

Rozier

Zizic

Yabu

Still missing the interior defender Ainge is always talking about but who's out there?

Yeah I'm not trying to think about the impending free agency but out of everyone I'll probably say smart just because he might command $20 mil as a free agent and even tho he has injury issues I'd still take avery at that price over him just cuz smart hasn't progressed like I would've liked him to

Smart's restricted so unless you think another team offers him that much then he's not getting 20 million a year, Philly might though, and I disagree I love how Smart has progressed he makes winning play after winning play and still just about to enter his prime I want to keep both it's not one or the other with me, that's also why I want them to draft Josh Jackson but if they drafted Fultz or Ball it's way to flooded in the backcourt

Honestly I would match a 20 million a year offer for Smart, by the time he's midway through that contract and where the salary cap will be bybthst time I guarantee that will be a bargain for what he brings to the table, similar to AB and his team friendly deal, plus as long as we take care of IT and AB this offseason which we will probably save by doing that compared to waiting, give KO some money by the time it's time to deal with Jaylen Brown, Zizic and any other rookie Al will be coming off the books and the salary cap will probably raise another crazy amount by that time, the only negative is we are limited ourselves in free agency but I'm willing to sacrifice that since we will be loaded with young talented that already got us flirting with the 1st seed and half of these dudes aren't even in their prime
