Embiid may have the ultimate say

No one was a bigger attraction than Embiid this weekend. Teams haven't seen him play since he injured his back late in his freshman season. Embiid's decision to skip the combine caused a fair amount of consternation among NBA teams. Without seeing him in the athletic testing, and without a full physical from NBA doctors, the paranoia over Embiid's health reached a fever pitch in Chicago last weekend.

Embiid went a long way toward easing those doubts and reasserting himself as a legit contender, maybe even the favorite, to be the top pick in the draft.

Embiid went through a roughly 30-minute workout alongside former NBA center Will Perdue. While it was clear that Embiid was still working himself into shape after nearly eight weeks of rest for his back (he got very winded about 15 minutes into the workout and started to struggle to finish his dunks and shots), he still looked quick and made the 10-foot basket look like a Nerf hoop.

Wait, wait, how do they just throw this aside like its not a concern? Lol See...this is what im talkin about. When they get excited enough, they will see what they wanna see.

Because he's been off for so long. Any player that hasn't played for months will have to work themselves back into shape. I agree with your statement but I think thats why they didn't make a big deal out of it

The way it read to me is if we have a chance at Exum and not Parker or Wiggins, we cant pass on him and we'll trade MCW. So unless Embid slides to 3, its not happening imo

The rumor, all the way down to Coach Brown's Australia angle, was already out there by reporters right there in Philly. CBS is regurgitating an existing story. A valid rumor is one that comes from legit sources not just the local media speculating or niggas with blogs. Once CBS or Yahoo or ESPN posts a rumor it's more then likely legit which is why they wait as long as they do. Do you honestly think they would consider drafting Exum had they won the lottery? Circumstances change and now that they have the 3rd pick they will have only 2 of the top 4 players to choose from instead of 3 or 4. That's why Exum is in the mix along with his everything else in the article. Get out yo feelings nigga. You've said plenty of dumb shit in this thread just don't care enough to dig it up

Like it for the most part but I just can't see Boston taking Randle. They already have 2 talented young PFs and need a big with some size who can play D and protect the rim. Vonleh makes the most sense for them and if he's off the board I can see them going Smart(to replace Robdo or Bradly) or A.Gordon. Wouldn't e shocked to see Randle go 6th but I don't like the fit. As for Orlando were going to be looking for a lot of the same with our 2nd pick especially if we take a gaurd at 4. We have a huge hole at PF and we need a big who can play some defense along side Vuc. Stauskas is a luxury pick but I get the logic behind it. There's not a great group of bigs that we can close from in that range which is why I hope we use Afflalo and the 12th pick to move up somehow or just reach for a guy like Adrian Payne.
